Chapter 4

 The next day at school Dave told Ryan about meeting Elvin at the store, but he didn't tell about the way he felt after meeting Elvin .

"WHAT.... So you mean you met Elvin at the store acted like a Cool Dude and even got his number....YOU..." Ryan was as shocked as he looked .

" Yes I did ...u ķnow after meeting him I . ....Never mind ". Dave didn't tell him about the weird emotions he felt , thinking he's just gaining more confidence and is much better at communicating now.

After sometime, As Dave was roaming in the corridors he saw Elvin carrying a huge stack of books with him . His face wasn't even visible, but somehow he knew that it was him ." Are you going to carry all that alone, Want some help? ".

Elvin tilted a bit to look at the person who just called out for him, but he lost his balance and the next moment all the books were down on the floor ." I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle u, here let me help you".

Dave sat on his knees and helped Elvin in cleaning the mess. But when they were about to get up their heads bumped. "Ouch..."

Both of them held their heads and hissed in pain.

But after looking at each other's reaction they started laughing.

" Let's keep these books in their place before Mr. Karls come looking for me". Dave followed Elvin as they walked away together.

Ryan who was looking at all this happen from far was shocked but not at the situation , he was shocked with Dave's behavior. " Since when .…did he…get so good at dealing with people who he just met yesterday". Down in his heart maybe he knew what was coming, but he still chose to ignore it.

"I should be happy that he's able to make friends on his own".

The same way days passed. whenever they met Elvin . Ryan could see the happiness on Dave's face . Their eyes sparkled whenever they met each other.

 Ryan observed everything but kept ignoring it. Maybe, he didn't want to accept the fact that the person he loved is falling for someone else.But how long could he pretend to be blind for the sake of his heart.

 Things were at the edge now Ryan just needed a push towards truth that he has been ignoring for long enough. And that happened quite early.

During lunchtime As Ryan and Dave were going to have their lunch they saw a huge crowd. Looked like someone was being bullied.

" Ewww ..... like Seriously … who lets people like you in here"." Aren't you disgusted of yourself".

Dave hates being in fights so he always turned a blind eye towards these things . As for Ryan he always stood up if his friends were bullied. They were about to leave Until they heard a faint and weak voice. " Let me go… Please…".

After hearing the voice Dave went running and saw that it was Elvin. He had bruise on his cheek, his eyes were red due to crying. Dave pushed the boy and grabbed Elvin" what happened...You're hurt".

The boy then looked at Dave "Now, who the heck are you Dude ." He was about to hit Dave But Ryan kicked him from side and the boy was down on the floor.

"You little brat . Aren't kids these days taught to respect their seniors".

Elvin who felt embarrassed dashed out their as Dave ran after him." ELVIN....."

Ryan looked at Dave's back as he disappeared running behind Elvin.

And then he looked at the crowd." What... now, If any of doesn't want their ass kicked . LEAVE".

The crowd was soon gone. But Ryan could not bring himself to follow Dave. He was afraid. He was afraid of finding out something he already knew .

But still he went. While Elvin got on the top floor ,buried his head in his knees and cried. Dave who followed him got there and went straight and hugged him. " Shhh ..... its alright. they are wrong ones so why are you crying."
