#### Scene 1

*Setting: After dinner, outside the restaurant.*

**Drake:** *(smiling)* Julia, isn't it funny that we’re neighbors now?

**Julia:** *(smiling back)* It is! What are the odds?

**Drake:** *(grinning)* Well, I guess this means I can see your beautiful smile every day.

*Julia blushes slightly. Drake opens the car door for her, and she sits down. Drake starts driving and turns on some music to avoid the awkward silence. They both vibe to the music, enjoying the ride.*

*Setting: Outside Julia's house.*

**Drake:** *(stopping the car)* Here we are. Home sweet home.

**Julia:** Thanks, Drake. I really appreciate it.

**Drake:** Anytime, Julia. Maybe we can do this more often?

*Julia smiles and nods. As she gets out of the car, Noah peeks through his window, watching them. Drake and Julia share a brief moment before Drake drives off.*

*Later that night, Noah climbs down from his house and then climbs up to Julia's window. He knocks softly, startling Julia who falls from her chair, daydreaming about dinner with Drake.*

**Noah:** *(laughing)* You okay there, klutz?

**Julia:** *(blushing, opening the window)* Noah! You scared me!

**Noah:** *(smiling)* Sorry about that. You look adorable when you’re startled, though.

**Julia:** *(laughing)* Very funny.

**Noah:** *(chuckling)* . Wanna go for a ride? I bet you won’t be able to sleep with all those nightmares.

**Julia:** *(laughing)* Alright, let’s go.

*They climb down the window and sneak out. Noah takes Julia to an exquisite place—a hill overlooking the city, where the lights twinkle like stars on the ground.*

**Julia:** *(awed)* Wow, this place is beautiful.

**Noah:** *(softly)* Not as beautiful as you.

**Julia:** *(smirking)* Have you brothers rehearsed these flirty lines, or what?

**Noah:** *(laughing)* Maybe we have. But seriously, this place has always been special to me.

**Julia:** Really? How so?

**Noah:** When I was a kid, I used to come here whenever I had flashbacks about my dad leaving us because of cancer. It always made me feel better.

**Julia:** *(gently)* I’m sorry, Noah. That must have been really hard.

**Noah:** Yeah, it was. But this place... it always brought me peace.

*They share a moment of silence, the city lights shimmering below them.*

**Noah:** You know, I never really talked about it with anyone. Coming here was my way of dealing with it.

**Julia:** It’s important to have a place like that. Somewhere you can escape to.

**Noah:** Exactly. And now, being here with you makes it even better.

**Julia:** *(smiling)* I’m glad I could be here with you.

**Noah:** Julia, would you like to go to the dance with me?

**Julia:** *(hesitating)* I... I don’t know, Noah.

**Noah:** *(softly)* You have someone else in mind, don’t you? It’s Drake, isn’t it?

**Julia:** *(shyly nods)*

**Noah:** *(sighs)* Take your time. Let’s get you home before our mothers kill us.

*They laugh and head back home. As they reach their houses, Drake is waiting in the hallway, clearly upset.*

**Drake:** *(angrily)* Why is it that you always fall in love with the things I love the most? Since childhood—starting from toys, food, and now Julia?

**Noah:** *(defensive)* Do you have a name tag on these items?

**Drake:** You know, it was peaceful when it was just me and Mom at home, and you were in New York.

**Noah:** *(firmly)* Whatever you may think, I’m really in love with Julia, whether you accept it or not.

**Drake:** *(angrily)* You just can't stand it, can you? That someone else might be better suited for her?

**Noah:** *(raising his voice)* This isn't about being better suited! It's about genuine feelings, Drake. I'm not trying to steal anything from you.

**Drake:** *(scoffing)* Genuine feelings? You think you can waltz back into town and everything will be just like it was?

**Noah:** *(calmly)* I'm not trying to replace you, Drake. I just want a chance to show her how I feel. If she chooses you, then I'll respect that.

**Drake:** *(frustrated)* Respect? Since when have you respected anything I've cared about?

**Noah:** *(sighing)* You know what, Drake? Maybe if you took a step back and stopped seeing me as a threat, you'd realize that we both just want the best for her.

**Drake:** *(fuming)* Just stay out of my way, Noah. This isn't over.

*Noah shakes his head and turns away, heading to his room. Drake stands there for a moment, his fists clenched, before storming off in the opposite direction. The tension between the brothers is palpable, and the night is filled with unresolved emotions.*
