Akil: That's great, you have a divine dragon inside you. As you grow up, you will be able to pass on your knowledge to other children.

Asuka: Yes.

The mother then intervenes in a severe tone.

The children concentrate more and more, and it is Karla's turn to see the dragon of the West, Naelyan, appear. Just as the dragon gods were about to grant his request, an arrow arrived in the middle of the circle and shattered the sphere which exploded, thus interrupting the ritual.

The children in the circle opened their eyes, screaming in pain, while the dragon priestess exclaimed:

She turned around and saw the knights of the kingdom accompanied by their king.

Mother: What is the king doing here?

Knight: Listen to me, we request the presence of the dragon ritualist, Lady Karla.

It turns out they were looking for Akil and Asuka's mother.

Lady Karla: I'm here, what do you want from me?

Knight: Your Majesty asks you to teach the knight dragon magic so that he can defend the kingdom against our enemies.

He ordered the archer to shoot an arrow which hit Karla's husband in the heart, the villagers were petrified. Akil saw his father collapse before his eyes, bleeding to death.

Enraged, he wanted to attack the guards and his mother screamed.

Lady Karla: Akil, stop.

Akil stopped abruptly when he saw his mother and sister in tears next to his father.

Lady Karla: Please don't go.

She stood up and asked:

Lady Karla: If I come with you, will you leave the village alone?

The king looked her straight in the eyes, nodded to confirm his answer, then Akil exclaimed:

Akil: Mom, don't go.

Asuka: Please, mom, stay with us.

Lady Karla approached the knights, saying to her son:

Lady Karla put Akil in charge of Asuka, asking him to take care of her.

Akil opposed this decision saying that his mother would not go anywhere.

Lady Karla used her magic to put Akil to sleep, who, with tears in his eyes, followed the knight without being able to stop his mother from leaving.

Helpless, Akil called his mother before losing consciousness.

The villagers took care of the children weakened by the ritual, and Akil woke up with a start.

Karla: Akil, you have finally regained consciousness.

Akil: Where is my mother?

Karla: She left with the king's guard.

Akil, filled with anger, stands up and exclaims:

Akil: Damned knight, how dare they do this?

Karla: Akil, please calm down, if only for your sister.

Akil: (Asuka) Where is she?

Karla: She is still in front of your father's body, inconsolable.

Akil left the tent and went towards his sister, whom he found in tears in front of the lifeless body of their father. She cried incessantly and asked:

Asuka: Why... Why, big brother, what did daddy do to deserve this? Why did they kill my father?

Akil, with a heavy heart, could not answer his sister and took her in his arms.

Asuka: They should never have done that.

Akil, distraught, remained silent, and Asuka spoke these words to him.

Asuka: Please take mom home, I'm begging you big brother.

He remained silent. Later, Asuka fell asleep sadly, the women of the village took care of her in the absence of Lady Karla. The latter went to find Akil and asked him a question.

Karla: What are you doing here?

Akil: Tomorrow... No, actually, I'd like to ask you a favor.

Karla: What service?

Akil: Take care of Asuka, I'll go pick up mom tomorrow.

Karla: You are foolish, if you go there you risk being killed.

Akil: My life doesn't matter, what matters is my sister's happiness.

Karla: Maybe it doesn't matter to you, but not to me, I don't want to lose you.

Akil: I'm asking you as a friend, please.

Unable to change her mind, she ends up accepting. The next day, Akil left the village and went to the capital. Unrest reigned among the inhabitants, the city was in full turmoil. Approaching closer, Akil saw that his mother was tied to a pyre in the main square, in front of the people, in a state of generalized injuries and exhaustion. Despite his desire to intervene, his mother forbids him from approaching, telepathically.

Madame Karla asked Akil to stay behind to avoid imminent danger. Akil pleaded to help him, but Madame Karla insisted that she could not bear to see him die. She explained to him that there is nothing more beautiful for a mother than to sacrifice her life for her children, but begged Akil to stay alive.

The knight took the torch and threw it into the pyre, the fire spread and Akil watched his mother being consumed by the flames, with tears in his eyes.

Lady Karla: Please evacuate the village. If they stay here, they will suffer the same fate as me. Go warn them, okay?

Akil: I will.

Madame Karla spoke to her son in a voice full of emotion: My son, my brave boy, stop crying and look at me. I will never disappear, my love for you will remain eternal in your hearts.

Akil listened carefully to his mother's last words before heading towards the village, with a heavy heart. Meanwhile, the knights celebrated the death of the dragon witch. The people were upset but powerless, so the king spoke.

The king declared in a deep voice: This woman did not want to tell us anything, we are going to bloody the village.
