The doctor's word were extremely harsh but he ( dr.) had a smile on his face.

Kook's face hardened awkwardly. he knew that the doctor wouldn't placate him with niceties, but he didn't expect him (dr.) to be this severe and straightforward either. He left him (jk) speechless and he rolled his eyes while trying to think of a good comeback.

DOCTOR

What! If you've truly come here to ask me to kill you, then you've got me all wrong. Go on, get out!

JEON JUNG-KOOK

No, it's not that.....

Kook was taken aback as the doctor waved his hands at him (jk) like he was shooing away a group of marauding birds.

JEON JUNG-KOOK

Is there a way for me to get to my destination without dying? The trip will take a good while, probably two months. Do you think it would be difficult for me even if I stay at an inn every two days to rest?

DOCTOR

Why go to the north? Take a boat if you want to rest, that would be better.

Kook didn't wait for the doctor's response and left ten more gold coins for him on the counter before smiling, bowing his head lightly, and leaving with a peaceful expression on his face. The doctor just clicked his tongue and quietly watched him leave.

The doctor roughly swept the gold coins into the drawer and shook his head. He shrugged as he continued watching Kook from the window as he got further away.

Before returning home, Kook bought some skewers for Abelia. His parents and Enphric wouldn't eat commoner's food but the curious twins would certainly enjoy it.

Just the thought of his little sister's words made his stomach upset. he knew Abelia meant no harm and that he looked up to her older brother as any younger sister would, even if he didn't understand why. Still, after a certain point, Kook couldn't smile genuinely at the smaller girl.

Suddenly feeling sorry, Kook bought two glasses of fruit juice that Abelia had mentioned wanting before making his way to the station and renting a carriage. At first, the driver didn't pay him much mind but he bowed once he (jk) told him his destination.

The humble carriage was old, dilapidated, and smelled musty. The rattling was so bad that his bottom and back soon began to hurt, which made him thankful that the estate's big marketplace was close to the mansion.

After returning to the mansion, Kook ran into his younger brother as he was going upstairs. With shiny blond hair and bright blue eyes, Feldon would be indistinguishable from his twin sister Abelia if he had long hair.
