Your Wedding Day

I stood before the mirror in my room, wearing my wedding suit. Today was Yui's wedding day, a day she had been waiting for a long time. But it wasn't the wedding I had dreamed of with her. It was her wedding with Jiang, the man she had come to love, the man who had taken my place beside her. I was invited to attend, and I couldn't refuse an invitation that might be the most painful in my life.

My heart was filled with sadness, and with every passing moment, I felt suffocated. I tried to hold myself together, to appear strong, but inside, I was crumbling. I remembered the moments we had spent together, our dreams and plans for the future. How had things changed so quickly? How had I become just a guest in her life?

In the church, I sat in the back rows, trying to be invisible. The music played, and guests smiled and spoke with enthusiasm. But for me, every note reminded me of my loss. I saw her enter through the door, in her white dress, looking beautiful and happy. Her face lit up with love and happiness, but that happiness wasn't because of me.

As she walked towards Jiang, tears filled my eyes. I remembered the moments when I thought I would be the one waiting for her at the altar. I thought I would be the one to give her happiness and security. But fate had other plans.

The priest began to speak, and his words grew harder for me to hear. I felt like I was living a nightmare, a nightmare I couldn't escape. I heard every word, but I couldn't comprehend them. The sound of my broken heart was all I could hear.

When it came time for them to exchange vows, I felt like I couldn't bear it. Yui was saying words of love and commitment to Jiang, and I felt myself disappearing. Every word was a stab in my heart, reminding me that I was no longer a part of her life.

After the ceremony, everyone headed to the reception. I moved as if in a dream; my body was there, but my spirit was far away. I smiled and talked with others, but my heart was shattered. I felt like I had lost everything, and I didn't think I could recover.

During the reception, Jiang came to me and thanked me for coming. His eyes were filled with gratitude, but he didn't know the pain I was living through. I said to him, "Congratulations, I wish you both happiness." The words came out of my mouth with difficulty, but I knew I needed to say them.

Yui also came over, and with her eyes, she could see the sadness I was struggling to hide. She said to me, "Leo, thank you for being here. It means a lot to me." I forced a smile and said, "Yui, I will always wish you happiness. You deserve all the love and joy."

I knew this was the moment I needed to let her go, to let my memories with her remain a part of the past. I needed to learn how to live without her, how to find happiness and contentment in my own life.

At the end of the reception, I sat alone in a corner, watching people celebrate. Those moments were the hardest in my life, but I knew I needed to be strong. I knew life would go on, and eventually, I would find my way.

I walked out of the reception, standing outside the church, looking up at the sky. There was a lone star shining, and I realized I needed to be like that star. I needed to find my own path, to be strong and independent. Yui would always be a part of my story, but she was no longer a part of my future.

As I drove home, I felt like I had started a new journey. A journey towards healing, towards finding myself again. I knew the road would be long and difficult, but I was ready to face it. I knew I would find strength within myself, and I would be able to build a new life, filled with hope and possibilities.

("When I was twelve years old, all my friends around me knew that I had you in my eyes all the time. But you? You turned around and went back to your new life. What about me? What should I do? A casual word from you can make me care for a long time, but you never take my words seriously... When we broke up, you didn't try to keep me, so what exactly am I in your eyes? I cried for you for three days and nights, unable to let you go. But what about you? You can just turn around and go back to your normal life, while I can't go back...")
