Death by Marriage

She replied jokingly “ Marry me”

Shocked at her words, he paused in his tracks and laughed.

“ you are quite the young lady I see” …...he smiled evilly at her.

“ who in their right mind would want to marry you sir”.........she giggled to herself.

Annoyed by her comment he moved closer to her. She can feel his breath on her face.

Prianca said boldly “ can you please pull the trigger, you’re wasting both of our time”

Sebastian has never seen anyone so calm in the face of death, she wasn’t afraid or scared. He thought to himself “ just who are you Prianca Pierre”.

The more he stared at her, he found her quite fascinating.

“ How old are you? he asked

“ 23” she replied.

Turning his back while thinking, Sebastian suddenly came to a conclusion. He told his men to untie her and get the car ready to go. Prianca gave a sigh of relief as she thought that he had changed his mind about killing her…….Seeing her reaction Sebastian chuckled.

They got in the car and drove off.

Letting off a sigh of relief again, Prianca sat in the car and said nothing. Whatever was next, it had to be better than death itself she thought. Sebastian made her comfortable and did not utter one word or so she thought. After a few minutes of driving, the car came to an abrupt stop.

“ Get out,” Sebastian said loudly.

He ordered his men to stand guard outside the building

Prianca stepped out of the car and followed him closely.

“ where he is taking me?…..what is this place?….her mind filled with thoughts

Entering the office building just ahead, Prianca couldn’t stop her thoughts from running wild.

The office had limited people so Sebastian walked straight towards the officer at the counter and said “ We’ve come to register our marriage”

Shocked at his words, Prianca wanted to faint…...she wished the floor could have opened up and swallowed her.

Pulling him aside, she asked “ Are you crazy?” .

He leaned in, and whispered in her ears “ Not as crazy as you are darling” while he chuckled.

He began signing the papers without hesitation. It was now her turned to sign the paper, her feet felt numb and she could not move. Frozen like a dead fish.

Sebastian flashed her an evil smile, walked closely towards her and murmur “ Don’t make me change my mind, if i were you, i will think of my family twice”

Threatening her family was her biggest weakness, Prianca did not fear death but seeing her siblings suffer she would do anything to save them. She immediately signed the papers.

“ Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Sebastian Delta,” said the officer at the front.

She walked out the office with a heavy heart.

Prianca had always been the mother figure to her younger siblings since the death of their mother. She basically became the overall provider of the house. She admitted to herself that being married to a Tyrant wasn’t the best plan but it was the only way out at the moment. She thought more of her family and couldn’t wait to see them.
