No Fear of Death

Sebastian Delta pulled up in his red and black Bugatti, while his men followed at the back. He was very fashionable and always looked good no matter what he wore. Stepping out the car, shades in his eyes he walked towards the gate at the Pierre family house. From a distance, he spotted this slim young woman standing at the front with her bags in hand. Moses Pierre had agreed to exchange the life of eldest daughter in repayment for his $30million debts. Prianca walked towards Sebastian and bowed before him. In her sweet voice she spoke “ Good Morning Master” . Sebastian held her chin and lifted her head, turned it from side to side. ………..“ not bad, not bad ...he thought to himself. Although Prianca came from a poor family, she was well kept as a young woman.

“ Get in,” said Sebastian in a cold voice.

Prianca immediately obeyed his orders and got in the car.

Watching out the window as the car drove past the house, Prianca promised herself that she will remain strong and not cry. She knew that with her gone, the rest of the family would be safe.

She felt her heartbeat racing while she sat in the vehicle, without uttering a word or sound, Prianca composed herself. Sebastian drove while humming a song in his mind. Prianca did not know where he was taking her and she did not bother to ask, she knew no good will come from asking too many questions. She was smart, and very observant. They arrived at an abandoned building across town. Sebastian signals to the other men to take her and bring her inside.

“ No need, I can walk” said Prianca

“ by all means” yelled Sebastian.

Prianca looked around and wondered if this is the place where she would draw her last breath. Tied to a chair by Sebastian men. She still did not utter a word or even scream.

Sebastian found it interesting that the beautiful young woman did not scream for help or begged for mercy. He walked towards her and stared at her…...….trying to intimidate her with his presence. Prianca still gave no reaction. He removed his gun from his waist and pointed it at her head.  Prianca felt her heart sank to her toes, she bit her lower lips, mustered the courage and looked him straight in the eyes.

Laughing out loud, Sebastian said “ you are a tough cookie aren’t you”

Prianca did not reply.

He inch the gun closer to her face, trying to instill fear in her…….. “ For someone who is about to die, no last words, no pleading or begging”  said Sebastian.

Looking at him dead straight in the eyes she replied “ would it please you to see me beg or cry “

Sebastian hated torturing women so he ignored her words. He was in no hurry to kill her so he played around some more with her.

By now Prianca accepted fate that today was going to be her last day alive…….” get it over with you bastard, she thought in her mind for she had nothing more to lose. Taking a cigar from his pocket, Sebastian lights it and puffs on it. He was waiting to see how long she was going to last being tough. He pulled a chair, sat down and crossed his legs while enjoying his cigar. His men were in position but could not move unless given orders. .

Prianca felt bored after a while and decided to sing her mother's favorite song because she loved singing.

“ I'm coming home, I'm coming home

Her angelic voice echoed throughout the abandoned building. Surprised Sebastian paused his smoking and stared at her…….” interesting ...he thought and smirked.  He thought he had seen it all over the years but never had he heard such a beautiful and pure voice. Fiddling with the gun in his hand, he began to second guess his decision to kill her but thought what else he could do with her. He had enough money to hire servants and maids and he did not need any. Getting up from his chair, he walked over to her. ” What shall I do with you Ms. Pierre?”  he looked at her while bending over her.
