The Timeless High School

The Timeless High School

The new kid on the blck

Max had just moved to a new town with their family, and they were nervous about starting at a new high school. As they walked through the halls, they couldn't help but feel like an outsider.

That was when they saw him - Jax, the star quarterback, with piercing blue eyes and a charming smile. Max felt their heart skip a beat as Jax caught their eye and winked.

But Max's attention was soon diverted to Aster, a mysterious and brooding artist, with eyes that seemed to see right through them. Aster's intense gaze left Max feeling both uneasy and intrigued.

As Max tried to settle into their new routine, they couldn't help but notice the tension between Jax and Aster. It was like they were two magnets, repelling each other with an invisible force.

One day, Max found themselves sitting next to Aster in art class. Aster's eyes locked onto theirs, and Max felt a shiver run down their spine.

"You're new here, right?" Aster asked, their voice low and husky.

Max nodded, trying to hide their nervousness.

Aster's gaze seemed to bore into their soul. "Be careful around Jax. He's not what he seems."

Max's heart raced as they wondered what Aster meant. But before they could ask, the bell rang, and class was over.

Later that day, Max saw Jax in the hallway, surrounded by his friends. He flashed Max a charming smile. "Hey, new kid! Want to grab lunch together?"

Max hesitated, unsure of what to do. But something about Jax's warm eyes put them at ease. "Sure," they said, smiling back.

As they walked to the cafeteria together, Max felt like they were walking on air. But they couldn't shake off the feeling that Aster was watching them, a disapproving gaze burning into their skin.

As they sat down at a table, Jax's friends welcomed Max with open arms. But Max's eyes kept drifting to Aster, who sat alone at a nearby table, their eyes fixed on Max with an intensity that made their heart race.

"Hey, Max, what's up?" Jax asked, noticing their gaze.

Max blushed, trying to play it cool. "Just admiring the artwork," they said, gesturing to Aster's sketchbook.

Jax followed their gaze, his eyes narrowing. "Aster's stuff is okay, I guess. But they're not really part of our crowd."

Max felt a pang of curiosity. What was Aster's story? And why did Jax seem so threatened by them?

As the days went by, Max found themselves torn between Jax's charming affections and Aster's mysterious allure. They couldn't deny the chemistry they felt with Jax, but Aster's intense gaze seemed to see right through them.

One afternoon, Max mustered up the courage to approach Aster's table again. "Hey, Aster. Can I talk to you for a minute?"

Aster's eyes narrowed, but they nodded curtly. "What's up?"

Max hesitated, unsure of how to broach the subject. "I just wanted to ask... why you seem so angry all the time."

Aster's gaze flashed with emotion, but they quickly masked it. "I'm not angry. I'm just... passionate about my art."

Max sensed there was more to the story, but Aster's walls were too high to climb. Yet.

As they parted ways, Max couldn't help but feel drawn to Aster's enigmatic nature. But Jax was waiting in the wings, his smile bright and inviting.

"Hey, Max! Want to grab ice cream with me after school?"

Max's heart skipped a beat. What was it about Jax that made them feel so alive?

With a flutter in their chest, Max agreed. Little did they know, this was just the beginning of a tangled web of love, friendship, and self-discovery.
