' How was the surgery? ' I asked in high pitch hiding my shaken voice.

' Thank God!, it went well' Eva said in relief.

' It was 3 hours long. His left renal artery was injured, and it was managed.'

' Mm' I replied.

' Is he also a doctor?'

' No, it is said that he takes care of their family business.' Eva said her tone was a bit more relaxed.

'Are there any more members in the Rensselaer family that I should know about.' I asked, failing to curtain my curiosity.

Their father Logan Rensselaer is the one who established their first business, which I have no idea about. Later his eldest son Regulus Rensselaer expanded his empire.'

' Elisa Rensselaer is Logan's wife. She was a pediatrician. She founded this hospital. Later she gave the chairman position to Raeburn Rensselaer, their second son. Raiden is the youngest and the apple of their eyes. But he is also known for his bad temper and strict personality though I am not sure about it.'

I gulped subconsciously. Yeah it was obvious that he had a bad temper.

Maybe I am not lucky enough to stay long in this nice hospital.

The next day after rounds Racheal called me and I went with her. The direction she walked to was obvious, it was to the VIP room. For the first time I blamed myself for being a favourite disciple of Rachel.

I entered the room and was welcomed by the flaming eyes of the lamppost. I just can't call him Raiden yet. He looked at me puzzled.

' You... ' He started but was interrupted by Rachael.

' No, I must be mistaken' he replied.

I really wanted to leave with him rather than stay in a room with the lamppost.

Just when we were about to leave Rachael got a call and asked me to wait for her in the room. Guess I am really unlucky these days.

' So you were a doctor in our hospital.' He said, his voice was ten times softer than the last time.

' Yeah. I am sorry if I was being rude.' I said in an apologetic tone but trust me I didn't mean it.

' You were indeed rude.' He looked at me with a smirk.

' You were also rude.' I tried to say it with minimum change in my tone.

' You are seriously a hard nut to crack. Are you not afraid I may put in a bad word about you.'

' We barely know each other, so there's no way you know me enough to put in a bad word.'

' They won't care if I know you or not.'
