I am Valeria Vasconcelos, 27 years old, and I have lived in Dubai since childhood. My parents lived here with me until I lost them in a tragic car accident. We were returning from a vacation at a friend's farmhouse when our car went over a bridge. Before the car plunged into the sea, my mother, in a quick and desperate act, opened the door and managed to push me out, saving my life. Since then, I have constant nightmares about the accident and need to take medication to sleep.
After finishing my studies, I started distributing resumes throughout the city in search of a job, as the inheritance left by my parents had run out. Although I hoped to be called to work in some company, I got a job at a well-known luxury hotel in Dubai: the "Khalil Vip." The place is grand and luxurious. I'm not working as a receptionist or in any other prominent position; I'm a maid. They promised me a promotion, and I'm waiting for that opportunity. I've been in this job for a few months, so it doesn't hurt to wait a little longer; after all, I've been doing perfectly fine.
The house that belonged to my parents and is now mine is not huge; it's a small house with only three rooms. It has a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The living room became tiny because I divided it to make a kitchen as well. But, even small, it's a well-organized place, and I always keep it that way.
I work in the morning, so I wake up early every day to catch the bus that passes near my house. I get out of bed as I do every day, go into the bathroom, and take a long shower. I wash my hair and then brush my teeth. Once I'm done, I dry myself off and put on my casual clothes, as I have to wear the uniform at work. I make a quick breakfast, grab my bag, and head to the bus stop.
I arrive at the bus stop and wait patiently. The morning sun is still rising, and the city is beginning to wake up. The bus arrives on time, as always. I get on, find a free seat, and take advantage of the ride to organize my thoughts and prepare for the workday.
I arrive at the hotel, greet my colleagues, and go straight to the locker room to change. I put on my maid uniform and get ready for another day.
My routine involves cleaning and tidying the rooms, ensuring that every detail is perfect for the guests. It's demanding work, but I do it with dedication, hoping that the promised promotion will come soon. With each room I tidy, I think about the future and the opportunities that may arise.
Today, however, I feel something different in the air. There's a buzz among the staff, and I soon discover that Sheikh Al-Hassan Khalil himself is at the hotel. They say he came to inspect the facilities and attend an important event. Everyone is on high alert, and the order is for everything to be impeccable because he is quite demanding.
As I walk the halls, I can't help but imagine what my life would be like if I had the opportunity to speak with the Sheikh. Maybe he could notice my effort and dedication. But I quickly focus on the work, knowing that to achieve my dreams, I need to keep pushing myself every day. I shake my head to get rid of all those crazy thoughts and continue my work.
The place was crazy, everyone running to see the said Sheikh. I was the only one who didn't go to see who he was; I wasn't interested. I was there to work, not to pry. I grabbed some towels and headed to one of the rooms. In the corridor, a man bumped into me, causing the towels to fall to the floor, which irritated me. I don't understand why people are in such a hurry just to see a man.
"Damn it," I said, gathering all the towels from the floor.
"Sorry, miss," he simply said and walked away.
"No problem," I muttered through gritted teeth.
In the midst of all this, I forgot to mention that my life here is a tragedy. I managed to get everything back together and went back to get more clean towels. I put the ones that had fallen in the washing machine and continued with the clean ones to the room I was going to before that jerk bumped into me.
I got to the room and knocked on the door before entering. It was one of the hotel's luxury suites, and as always, it was empty at the time. I walked in and started changing the used towels, checking every detail to make sure everything was perfect for the next guest. The ambiance was opulent, with elegant furniture and a breathtaking view of the city, but for me, it was just another day of work and just another room.
As I tidied the room, I couldn't stop thinking about my situation. Working as a maid in a luxury hotel wasn't what I had envisioned for my life. With a sigh, I tried to push away the negative thoughts and focus on the task at hand.
I finished tidying the room and headed to the next one. Maybe it would be empty like all the others, since everyone was excited to see Sheikh Al-Hassan. I entered the room and closed the door behind me, startled by the powerful, deep voice.
"I was waiting for you, why did you take so long?"
My reaction at that moment was just to be quiet and widen my eyes in fright.
"Sorry, sir, I thought... I thought there was no one and..."
"No need to worry." He waved his hand for me to be quiet, looking annoyed. "I hate delays, but you're forgiven. The hotel is in turmoil, yes, but no one must have seen you come in. Don't worry." He said it as if he knew me or was waiting for me, which I found strange.
He got out of the bathtub, revealing his completely naked body, which almost made me faint at the sight of his biceps.
I was totally speechless in front of him like that, and to him it seemed normal. Until my eyes drifted down to his perfectly defined abdomen, which made me swallow hard. I went down a little further and saw his large, fully erect member, which made me turn around instantly.
This man is perfect; having seen his entire body from head to toe, he is a true work of art. I got nervous, and when I get nervous I start biting my lips.
