How is it possible for someone to be this idiotic?
Or is she making it her mission to make my life harder than it's supposed to be?
"You can take the day off." I repeated calmly
"But the Madam told me not to leave your side miss." she stuttered, playing with her fingers nervously.
"Leave." I stated with a straight face.
Thinking back, I feel like ripping these two faced faces off. She or rather I was to placent with them. I allowed them to walk over me and due to that, it caused this issue in front of me now.
This is also why I dislike human interactions, once you give something they will always try to suck you dry. The little maids face turned white as she took a step back, I'm really curious about what my face looks like for her to look so frightened right now.
She finally turned around and left, leaving me alone and feeling more free than I have for a while now. I turned and followed the dirt path to the back of the Mansion when I heard cheering, there was wat looked like a training yard in the distance. Humming I walked closer as I watched them compete against one another, what shocked me was that I could even see a few woman between the men as they practiced against one another.
Anger started burning deep inside me as discussed my disgust grew for my o so dear father, I felt a shiver ran down my spine as I remember his face filled with hatred when I begged him to join the same school as my brother. Sneering at the group of people, I turned around to head back to the house.
Forget about my damn plan!
I'll go and see that father of mine right now.
I went back the same way that I wandered around, not stoplinh to spare a glance at the workers direction. A part of me was happy that I'm able to remember where father should be at this time and another part of me was disappointed, how can you expect a daughter to know your exact schedule to avoid you and then punish her when she finally got the strength to stand up to you?
Shaking my head I knocked on the door, waiting for any kind of signal for me to enter. When there was none I decided to knock again, giving a few minutes before I started knocking in rhythm.
"Come in!" a deep voice screamed.
I walked in with a big smile, feeling a bit triumphant in my heart as my father glared at me. I walked calmly to the chair in front of his desk, sitting down as the butler hurried to close the door that I just left opened.
I took my time to look over his study, enjoying the feel of warmth that this room gave, which was shocking because its owner was so cold. The room was decorated in warm colors and majority of the furniture was made of wood, both the father and the daughter has the same taste in decor except for colour wise.
"What do you want Cristy?"
"I want to go to the same school that brother is in." I shrugged, standing up I headed to the bookshelf, looking at all his different kind of books.
"We're not going to start this again, I already told you that you will not be attending." he stated
"I disagree, there are many ways for me to get into that school. For one I could run away and enter in a scholarship program, I can have grandpa sign me up....it's just easier to have you do it...it will cause less problems for me." I gave him a smile over my shoulder before taking out a book.
"Where do you think you got the right to talk to me the way you are doing now."
"I almost got murdered by my father, would there be anything more frightening than that." I smirked as I walked to the chair that I sat on earlier.
"You do like telling lies don't you." he hissed at me.
"I'll agree to disagree." I nodded, opening the book as I sat down.
"You're alive and well in front of me now."
"Still doesn't change the fact that a father almost killed his daughter by his own hands." I nodded
Correct that, he did murder his daughter with his own hands.
"I told you that there is no need for you to watch over your fiancé!"
"You truly think that is the reason for me to want to attend?" I threw my head back and laughed.
Enjoying the shock that dawned on his face as he looked at me, I stood up from my chair and walked closer to him. Staring him straight in the eyes as I placed the book in front of him, not once flinching at the hatred that shot through his eyes towards me.
"That just shows how much you know me. I will be attending the school and I will be leaving in two days time. If you don't want me to attend, make sure that you kill me correctly this time. It sure was a pain coming back." I sneered at him.
I think if I could have been blessed with a power instead of having a second chance, it would have been to read someones mind definitely. I wanted so badly to know what he's thinking as he's staring up at me with that unreadable expression, I want to know if he might regret what he did.
"I never..." he stopped and sighed, leaning his head back in defeat.
"You're also a very bad liar, guess I got something from you after all." I laughed before leaving.
I needed to be in time for the afternoon tea that I promised mother this morning and there nothing in this world that will be keeping me away from that.
Just as I was about to open the door, it got pulled open. I stared up at my brother who just like my dear father sneered down at me.
Like father like son, they truly are a matching pair.
"Would you look at that, even the dog came running." I smiled up.
"What?!"
"Next time keep your little rats to yourself, I might just kill them if I find them under my feet." I patted his shocked face and left.
"Cristy!"
I hummed with a smile and kept walking towards the garden, excited to head towards someone who actually wants to be close to me.
"Little miss!"
I turned to find that irritating maid running towards me, struggling to keep her breathing even.
"I thought I told you to leave."
"I...need...to...take...the...miss...to...madam." she huffed.
"Then lead the way."
I followed her as she walked towards a carriage, lifting my eyebrows in shock that the carriage was waiting for me but never the less I climbed in.
It will be really shocking if they try to kill me again.
I looked out of the window to see guards pulling a struggling maid out and my brother walking after them, she was screaming and kicking as if her life was depending on it. I was about to pull the door open when a small hand grabbed my arm, turning my head I looked at the maid who leaned over and closed the curtain just as I looked back at my brother who was staring at us.
"There are some things that miss should ignore." she whispered
"Who gave you the right to tell me what to do?" I hissed, my fingers turning white as I begged myself to open the door.
"I'm not telling you what to do miss...it's just that you might just be misunderstanding something." she spoke slowly
"There's nothing that I'm misunderstanding believe me."
I let go of the handle as the maid let out a sigh of relief, I sat back and closed my eyes. My brothers face now held uncontrolled fury, a look that I can't remember seeing in my memories. I can't think of any reason he would be so mad at a maid, unless it's about when I told him that I will personally kill her myself. Yet here she is sitting in front of me as if it was just another normal day.
"I need to apologize miss."
"For what exactly?" I sighed and looking back at her.
"If I was there to protect you....you....maybe the prince would....I should have called him as you requested." she whimpered
"Don't you worry, what happened just proved something for me."
"What is that miss?"
"That I can never trust anyone."
She sat back with pain written all over her face, almost as if she just lost something precious to her.
The ride to what appeared to be a small pond came to an end, I climbed off leaving the maid behind and headed toward where my mother was sitting. There were a few maids running around to put everything on the table, my mother was talking and pointing at where everything should be placed. I stood there staring them as if I was watching a movie, the trees and pond at the back was gorgeous with the sound of bird singing. At this very moment it felt like I was just a small extra in a bigger picture and not a villainess that will cause her family to be torn apart.
"Cristy?"
I looked at my loving mothers face and smiled, no matter what the future holds one thing is for sure. She will be the one person I will protect with everything I have.
"I'm here mother." I smiled and stepped towards her extended hand.
