The Tale of Terra

In the grand halls of the Earth Kingdom's palace, amidst the turmoil, lived Princess Ciara, daughter of King Berren Blackthorn. For years, she had yearned for a child of her own to share the loneliness of her royal existence.

As Princess Ciara strolled along the riverbank near the palace, she discovered a basket floating gently upon the waters. Within the basket lay a child—a girl with eyes that mirrored the stormy skies above, and a scar upon her arm that spoke of untold secrets.

Without hesitation, Princess Ciara lifted the child into her arms, feeling a surge of warmth and purpose. As she cradled the girl close, a bond forged, one that would shape the course of their lives and the fate of the kingdom itself.

Princess Ciara waited nervously for news concerning the baby girl found near the river. When Captain Reiner arrived, he looked serious. "Your Highness," he said, "we found out the baby's parents were attacked by bad people. They set fire to their house to try to kidnap her."

"The maid who saved her," Captain Reiner continued, "got away with the baby and put her in a basket in the river to keep her safe."

Tears filled Princess Ciara's eyes as she heard about the brave maid and the baby's parents."Make sure the baby gets lots of care," Princess Ciara said softly but firmly.Captain Reiner nodded and left. Princess Ciara sat alone, thinking about the baby's difficult past and how she could protect and care for her in the future.

In the days that followed, Princess Ciara named the baby Terra and lavished her with affection, her heart overflowing with the love she had yearned to give.

Yet, as the Terra grew under the Princess' care, she began to exhibit a rebellious spirit, questioning the cruelty and injustice in the kingdom.

Princess Ciara, torn between her duty to uphold her father's rule and her growing fondness for the girl, struggled to reconcile the conflicting emotions

Terra, unaware of her own story, grew curious about the scar on her arm. One evening, she asked Princess Ciara about it.

The princess hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. "I found you by the river, in a basket floating peacefully on the water", Princess Ciara began. She gave her a detailed explanation of what transpired, and Terra got to know that Ciara wasn't really her mother.

Terra burst into tears , at the fact that the princess had not been honest since the beginning. Soon,Terra became silent, trying to fully absorb the weight of the princess' words. She reached out, touching the scar on her arm with wonder and curiosity. "Why did they scar me?" she finally asked, her voice barely a whisper.

Princess Ciara sighed, her own heart heavy with the burden of truth. "They did it to protect you," she explained gently. "To hide your mark from those who would harm you, who would use you for their own gain. It was a sacrifice born of love, one that ensured your safety."

Then she instructed Terra to keep her mark a secret from everyone including her father.
