Lost In Lines
I am the one who saves,
The one who carry the burden
I listen to everyone woes,
But who will understand me?
I may seem foolish,
Or maybe I care too much,
But I am afraid to reveal myself,
For fear of being burden as such.
I don't seek goodness in my life,
For I'm afraid of what comes next,
I hide behind the strong barriers,
Between my true self and the one I project.
No one truly knows me,
For I am afraid to show my weak side,
I fear my vulnerabilities will be used against me,
And so I choose to hide.
Trust is a foreign concept,
For betrayal is not a stranger,
I have seen the table turn,
And it always ends in danger.
I don't know if I am broken or whole,
For I am mix of both,
But whenever something good happens,
I fear what follows will be worse.
This world I have seen,
Has taught me to be wary,
For no one is truly happy,
And no one is ever satisfied.
We all wear masks,
Hiding out true self from view.
So How am I to know,
Whom to help and whom to show?
But still, I continue to save,
For it is all I know.
But deep down I hope,
That someday, someone will save me too.
