"Mom, I'm back."
"Welcome back, my daughter. How was the first day of your school?"
"It was good. I made a friend."
"Wow, just on the first day? Well, that's more like my daughter."
"hmm I'm going to change mom."
"sure, come back down for lunch in 15 minutes"
"okay"
*gets changed* *plops on bed*
"Does he really see me like that?" she thinks to herself.
"Well, I guess that's just what artists do. Don't think about it too much."
In Haru's pov "Today is another day of school. There's nothing new; it's just me and my AirPods. I wasn't always like this, though. I've always been an introvert, but not so distant and cold. I had a friend too in primary and middle school. He was my best friend. We used to get along so well; he was very lively and kind. He treated me so well. I still miss him. I don't know where he is now. He transferred schools and changed cities after middle school. I don't even have his contact. I don't know if I can ever meet him again".
"Hey, Sarang."
"Oh, hey there."
"Do you know about it?"
"About what?"
"School is organizing clubs, and we all have to choose one."
"that's good. I'd love to take part. Let's check out the clubs during lunch break."
"Oh, I was about to say the same."
During art class, the teacher says, "Today you'll draw whatever is in your mind. Let your mind wander."
Everyone starts to think and draw whatever they like. Haru looks here and there, and his eyes get stuck on Sarang.
"What are you even thinking?" he says to himself and starts to draw, shaking his thoughts away.
After an hour, as usual, the teacher checks everyone's work. When she looks at Haru, she's stunned. "Wow, such a pretty one. It looks like I've seen her somewhere though."
He drew Sarang, with butterflies over her one eye and on several other parts. It looks really pretty.
"Did you have anyone in your mind while drawing this?" Everyone gathers around to see the painting, Sarang included.
"Why does it look like me?" Sarang says to herself, while Haru replies to the teacher, "No, I just drew what came to my mind. I didn't have anyone specific in my mind."
He was definitely lying, but does he know himself? He doesn't even realize he thought of Sarang while drawing this. Listening to Haru's response, she thinks to herself, "I think too much, so stupid of me."
During lunch break, Sarang and Aera check out clubs. Sarang decides to join the photography club as it's to her liking. tomorrow will be the first day of clubs.
It's English class now. Haru and Sarang have two classes together: English and arts. During English class, Haru keeps his head down and just continues sketching. Sarang sits in the 3rd last seat in class, while Haru is again in the second last.
The sunlight hitting Sarang makes her side profile look gorgeous. Without even realizing it, Haru keeps on drawing her. As for her, she doesn't even know she's the muse for someone.
