The road to Eldridge was lined with ancient trees, their branches whispering secrets of the past. The journey was filled with tension and anticipation. Isha couldn't help but glance nervously at every passing traveller, wondering if they might be one of the conspirators. Ethel, though determined, couldn't shake off the nagging feeling of uncertainty about what they might face.

Upon reaching Eldridge, the town was a flurry of activity. Market stalls lined the streets, and the townsfolk bustled about their daily business. Isha wanted to explore the town and then remembered what they were here for. The siblings moved carefully, blending into the crowd. They made their way to the tavern where the scroll had indicated the secret meeting would take place. The tavern was a dimly lit establishment, filled with the smell of ale and the sound of hushed conversations.

Isha and Ethel found a secluded corner and waited. The hours passed slowly, each moment stretching their nerves taut. Finally, as the sun dipped below the horizon, cloaked figures began to gather in a private room at the back of the tavern. Isha's heart pounded in her chest as she and Ethel slipped closer, trying to catch snippets of the conversation through the thin walls.

The conspirators spoke in low voices, discussing plans that confirmed the contents of the scroll. They mentioned key figures within the noble families and strategies for overthrowing the Valtier rule. Isha and Ethel listened intently, committing every detail to memory.

Suddenly, a loud crash echoed through the tavern. Isha, having dropped a vase, the noise broke out in the main room, and one of the cloaked figures noticed the siblings lurking nearby. "Who are you?" a gruff voice demanded.

Thinking quickly, Ethel responded, "We're just travellers, looking for a place to stay. "And that his sister did not mean to break the vase and that they would compensate for it "

The figure eyed them suspiciously but distracted by the broken vase . Seizing the opportunity, Isha and Ethel slipped out of the tavern Duchess Avelin Valtier , their hearts racing.
