*y/n wants Keegan to pull down his mask after he was captured and tortured on a mission*

Y/N : Can i? can we try it?

Keegan: *nods* Yes

Y/N: *starts to pull his mask up*

Keegan: *stops them* Don't

Keegan: Stop......please

Y/N: But my love- i- we're - we're engaged

Keegan: I'm...so sorry

"It's ok Keegan, we can try when you're ready, " I say, trying to hide the hurt and pain in my voice

Keegan: *looks down*

Keegan: Do you really want to see what's underneath...?

"Of course I do, my love," I say, " but only if you're ready to show me."

Keegan: *thinks, then he nods*

Keegan: ok then...here we go, just don't look at me like im- I'm a freak, and try not to get scared. I- I don't look good, I'm ugly.

*he pulls down his mask, revealing multiple scars on his face. Long ones, short ones, some rhat look healed, some look like they are going to rip open any moment.*

I look up at him. " You're beautiful, my love," I say

I lean to kiss every inch of his face, kissing each scar as well. Between each kiss, I tell him "your handsome, you're beautiful, you are amazing."

Keegan: *he blushes*

Keegan: Stop...I'm ugly...a-and...

*tears start to fall from his eyes, he looks away*

I wipe his tears away, " You're not ugly, my love. You are so handsome. "

Keegan: *he sniffles, he looks back at you*

Keegan: I'm not handsome... I have scars...*tears fall faster*

"Scars do not make you ugly, my love. They show that you are a survivor." I tell him, wiping each tear that falls down his face.

Keegan: *he sniffs*

Keegan: But I'm ugly...I'm the ugliest soldier in the kingdom...

*he covers his face, crying even more*

"No, you're not," I tell him. " You are the most handsome and hot soldier in this kingdom, and don't let anyone ever tell you any different."

Keegan: *he sniffs*

Keegan: I...am...?*sniffle*

Keegan: But I'm all scarred and

*he starts crying again*

"Like I said, my love, your scares only show that you have survived," I tell him I smile, wishing that he would believe me

Keegan: But...what if you hate me for it...

*he still can't stop sobbing*

"I will never, you hear me NEVER hate you for being scarred,"

Keegan: *he slowly stops crying, he hugs you tightly and sobs on your shoulder, still not looking up*

I hug him tighter, hoping he'll believe me. "I love you, my handsome soldier," I whisper quietly, seeing that he's slowly falling asleep

Keegan: I love you too....

*he falls asleep, snoring quietly as he sleeps. i hope that one day he'll see himself the way i see him, he's amazing, his scars dont matter to me, and he looks amazing. I love him.*
