She sold her body

“Why should I?” She clapped back.

“What?” He was displeased. “You were just talking to a big shot just now. Is it what I think it is?”

“You can think whatever you want.” She withdrew her hand out of his grasp.

“Brielle. Brielle!!!” He watched her as she walked away from him. He ruffled his hair in a fit of rage. He was still disturbed about what he heard. “What did she agree to?” Nevertheless, the plan has to still work. It must work. He walked over to Amaya who stood closely behind them while they argued, smiling at it all. She wrapped her arm around his with a smile on her face. He slowly calmed down. The face he finally wanted to see.

“What happened?”

“That bitch!” She smiled. “I saw her speaking to Mr Valdez and……

“Wait! She was speaking to Mr Valdez?” She interrupted him. “How did she get to speak to him?” She thought, tucking her fingers into her palm. “Do you think he is the reason why I didn’t win the award?” She corrupted him.

“No. She can’t possibly do th……,” he stopped. Thinking back to the words she said to him, that must have been for something. He now understood what happened. Brielle had given her body to Mr Valdez in return for the awards she received. He was finally connecting the dots.

“So that’s what she did. I’ll make her pay for this.” He stormed off.

“Brielle, Brielle. I warned you. If I can’t have it, you can’t as well.” Amaya chuckled. “Let the drama begin.”

In less than 30 minutes, news had spread throughout the banquet hall of the immoral act of Brielle. Everyone began to say untrue words about her based on what they had heard. Oblivious to the ordeal, she walked back into the hall after calming herself down only to receive stares from the crowd. She probably was wondering if someone was behind her so she turned. Indeed. There was someone behind her. It was him. The CEO of SKY Entertainment. She smiled at him. He eagerly forced himself to smile back. He looked at the crowd. The cunning eyes scrutinising them.

“What had probably gone wrong?” He thought. “Did anyone see them at the balcony and spread false rumours about them?” He was deep in thought.

Thinking the stares should have died down now, Brielle turned to see those eyes again. But this time, it was more intense than before. Whispers began to flow across the room. One audacious man spoke through the crowd.

“Don’t you have any shame?” The man yelled. “After sleeping with Mr Valdez, have you found a new prey too?” Brielle was lost in her own world. “What were they probably talking about? Who were they speaking to?” She scanned the room trying to find the scapegoat yet she found no one.

“Do you know whom they are talking about?” She turned to the CEO with itchy ears. He obviously knew whom they were talking about - it was her. So how come she did not realise this. Their eyes were closely tied to her……he could not hide his amusement.

“Are you that slow witted?” He forced himself to say amidst chuckles.
