Rain poured down in torrents, drenching the streets of Palermo in a deluge of water. Sophia Moretti hurried through the crowded streets, her coat pulled tight around her as she struggled to shield herself from the relentless downpour.
She ran all the way to a shop that has been closed to protect herself from drenching more.

Hello? *on the call*
Marco Smith (Fl's ex)
Hey Sophia, can you come to my house right now?

What? In this heavy rain? I'm already stuck here.
Marco Smith (Fl's ex)

what's with him? He didn't say I love you back. *looks at his caller id*
Sophia's footsteps splashed through the puddles, her coat weighed down by the relentless downpour. Each droplet of rain felt like a heavy burden on her shoulders as she trudged through the storm.

It was strange that he didn't offer me a blanket or told me to freshen up first. He just kept looking at me as I was the one acting strangely. He didn't even ask me to sit let alone offering me a cup of hot coffee.
He was always a caring man and that's what made me love him more and more. I fell deeply in love with his personality, with him but today everything feel distant and different. I'm not able to read his face. It's holding no emotion of love.
My heart started pounding rapidly. Loud thunderstorms could be heard outside just like that my heart was beating.
He came and stood in front of me with him emotional less eyes. There was no sign of love in them, and that sacred me more. I was afraid that this day might come and I will have no idea how to face it. This man right in front of me was the love of my life with whom I fell in love a year ago.
I can't recognize him now.

I've met someone else. She's... she's different, Sophia. She's beautiful and has qualities I never knew I wanted.

So you are leaving me for someone else because she is prettier? I can't believe this Marco. *looks away as tears made their way through her eyes*

It's just not about looks. She has qualities that I admire.

I thought we had something real Marco. I can't complete with some Idealized versions of perfection.

She is better and yes you can never compete with her. She has all the qualities a man wants. What do you have? You are so clumsy. My all friends have elegant girlfriends. Have you ever looked at yourself?

Are you really saying this? I was such a fool to love a man like you! I hate you Marco. You are a selfish bastard who runs behind beauty. *Stood up crying and wipes her tears*
I pushed him with all the little energy left in me after hearing all this coming from the mouth of the man I loved. I ran out of his house crying. I tried wiping my tears, but they never stopped. I hate how I much I love him maybe more than myself. I gave my 100% in this relationship but what did I get in return? Comparison with some other woman.
As she walked in the rain, tears mingled with the drops falling from the sky. Each step felt heavier, burdened by the weight of heartbreak. The sound of rain provided a comforting rhythm to her thoughts, a melody for her sorrow. She wrapped her arms around herself, seeking solace in the cold embrace of the storm. Despite the pain, she knew she would eventually find strength in the midst of the downpour, a resilience born from letting go and moving forward.
Sophia poured out her emotions as she reached home, unaware of the looming storm ahead, both outside and within, ready to engulf her world in turmoil.
