The meeting had lasted for hours, and all we had done was sit there in silence. When it was finally over, I was exhausted and ready to head home. As I walked down the second-floor hallway, I was surprised to see that the sky was dyed orange and the sun was about to set. It had been a while since I had last seen a sunset. I stopped and took a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature.
Now that I am officially a student at this school, I am looking forward to meeting the other students. However, I was surprised to learn that this school only has seven students, including myself. That seems like a very small number, considering the size of the school. I am eager to meet the other students and learn about their interests and backgrounds. I am also interested in learning more about the school's academic programs and extracurricular activities. I believe that this school will provide me with a well-rounded education and a positive learning environment.
I had never imagined that I would be here; it seemed too good to be true, like a dream. As I walked through the garden, I hoped that nothing bad would happen to spoil this perfect day. Suddenly, I stopped in my tracks. There, in the middle of the garden, was a large pond. I was curious, so I walked slowly toward it. As I got closer, I saw that the pond was filled with colorful koi fish. They were so big and healthy-looking that I couldn't help but think that someone had taken a lot of time and effort to care for them.
[rustle]
"Whose there?!"
Suddenly, I felt someone approaching from behind. Instinctively, I swung my hand backward in a defensive move. When I realized that it was only a girl, I stopped my swing, but not before I had connected with something soft. The girl fell to the ground in surprise. She was wearing a white sailor uniform with a navy blue and white stripe on the edge of the long sleeves. The socks she wore were mismatched checkered knee socks. She had brown hair in a ponytail and green eyes. In her hand was a bag of what looked like fish flakes. I wondered if she was going to feed them to the fish in the pond.
I tried to apologize and reach out to the girl, but she ran away as soon as I did. I picked up the flakes and fed them to the fish. I hope my first impression tomorrow will be better than today. I'm sure she'll tell the other students about me. I just hope they'll listen to me and give me a second chance.
It was getting dark, and I was walking back to the dorm, feeling a little down. I hadn't eaten anything since morning except the cookies in Teacher Bianca's office, and my stomach was growling. As I approached the dorm, it was as quiet as ever. The teacher had said that the other students lived in the same dorm as me, but I hadn't seen anyone except that girl earlier. I laughed to myself because I didn't think she was a ghost. When my hand touched hers, it was brief, but I knew that kind of sensation.
I dug in my bag for the key and opened the door. Memories flooded back as I stepped over the threshold. The room was familiar, but I couldn't place it. I shrugged it off and went to the cupboard for some canned goods. While I was eating, my phone buzzed with a text, As soon as I saw the text message, I knew who it was from. I ignored it and continued eating my food. After I finished eating, I took a quick shower and went to bed. I didn't want to think about the message, and I didn't want to give the sender the satisfaction of knowing that I was thinking about it.
Morning has come, and I am excited for the day. Yesterday was a good day, and I am looking forward to today being even better. I am going to study hard today and try to get good grades. Studying is important, and getting good grades is important for my future. However, my health is more important than good grades. Good grades will not heal me from illness, so I am going to make sure to get some exercise today as well.
Years ago, my master took me in as a child and taught me everything I know. I was like a programmed robot, unable to move without being told to. I walked down a dark path so deep that I didn't think I could ever return. But thanks to her, I am here. However, life doesn't always go as planned. I have encountered many struggles that have added trauma to my already messed-up life. But as my master says, life isn't about finding yourself; it's about creating yourself. Until now, I don't really know what that means. If I can't find myself, how can I create one? I'm not that smart, so I just go with the flow. No matter what happens, as long as I am me, I will be okay.
After cleaning myself up, I feel ready to face whatever the future holds for me at this school. I take a deep breath and open the door with confidence, knowing that I made a good first impression. I am eager to start this new phase of my life.
I was surprised to see a familiar face in front of me. It was the girl I met yesterday. I am relieved she is not a ghost! After what happened yesterday, it's no wonder she is looking at me with surprise. I need to set things right with her. I don't want my classmate hating me on the first day, and I definitely don't want her hating me in the future either. I just have to figure out what to say.
I had a good look at her, and I can tell that she is quite cute. She is short, standing about 158 cm, with a slender body and a small face. Her small pink lips, big eyes, and slightly oversized uniform suit her well. I was immediately attracted to her. When I tried to talk to her, she just stood there frozen like a statue. But the moment I walked away, she ran off again. That makes me a little sad.
I'm walking alone in the hallway, my heart feeling a little broken. I really wish she would talk to me. I really want to clear things up with her. I feel like I'm walking on eggshells around her, and it's really starting to affect my life.
"You must be the new student teacher mention"
I turned around and was surprised to see a beautiful woman standing in front of me. She had waist-length red hair with tiny twin tails at the top of her head. Her eyes were a deep purple, and her lips were red with a mole just under them. Her uniform that clung to her curves in all the right places.
I was excited to meet everyone today, but I didn't expect to meet someone so early. I was nervous, but I answered honestly. "Yes, I am!" I said. I already met one person, but she didn't talk to me.
"I'm Haruna Smirnov Nice to meet you!"
"I'm Shiina Natsuki. It's nice to meet you too, Haruna Smirnov. Your name is Haruna, right? And you said your last name is Smirnov? That's an unusual last name. Where are you from?"
"I am half Russian. My mother is Japanese, and my father is Russian. We used to live abroad but things happens and now I'm here, is something wrong?" Haruna looks at Natsuki with a puzzled expression.
"Ah nothing and this girl?"
The girl from yesterday and earlier is hiding behind Haruna, clutching her hand to Haruna's hand.
"Ah, this girl is Miko Amamiya. She's pure Japanese, by the way, and a little shy. I apologize for her, but I think you'll like her once you get to know her." Haruna gently takes Miko's hand and squats down next to her.
Haruna's gentle voice was so nice to hear as she patted Miko's head. I could clearly see that she was acting like a big sister to her, but despite that, Miko buried her face against Haruna as she hugged her tightly while shaking her head. "Come on, Miko," Haruna urged, "say it to your sister for me." Miko just shook her head and squeezed Haruna even tighter.
"I'm sorry," Haruna says, looking at me with a mixture of concern and confusion in her eyes. "She's usually not like this. In fact, she's been acting strange since yesterday. It all started when she went to feed the fish in the pond. I don't know what happened, but she won't tell me."
I told Haruna what happened that day.
I was nervous about telling Haruna what happened. I was new and didn't want to get off on the wrong foot with my classmates. Fortunately, she wasn't angry. That was a relief because I didn't want to start my new life on the wrong foot.
Haruna bent down in front of Miko and spoke to her in a gentle voice. "Miko, I know you're still feeling shaken up from the encounter with Shiina. I understand why you might be afraid of her, given what happened. However, it seems that Shiina did not mean to hurt you. She was acting out of character, and she has been trying to apologize to you. Can you find it in your heart to forgive her?"
When I first met Miko, she was terrified of me. It took a lot of reassurance from Haruna to convince her that I didn't mean to hurt her. When Miko finally nodded and hugged Haruna, I knew that she had forgiven me. I felt that I was off to a good start in this new life.
I discovered that Haruna is quite talkative as we walked to class together. She shared some of her life story before coming here. As she talked, I felt a bit envious because it seemed like she had a good life before. However, I remembered that the teacher said that all the students who enroll here have reasons for doing so. I wonder what Haruna's reasons are, since it seems like she had a good life before coming here. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
As Haruna and I entered the room, she greeted everyone cheerfully, but no one responded. In the corner, two tables from the front, a girl with white hair and velvet eyes was sitting quietly, reading a book. On the other side, in the middle, a blond girl with ocean-colored eyes looked annoyed. In front, a pink-haired girl with rose-colored eyes was reading a book. In the back, another girl with long black hair and blue highlights was also reading a book, the wind blowing through her hair. This scene reminded me of a manga I once read, except that the girl in the manga was blonde, not black-haired.
I was surprised that Haruna was not upset that no one responded to her greeting. She went to her desk in the left corner, and Miko sat down next to the pink-haired girl. The room was silent, and I could feel the heavy atmosphere. I took a seat in the middle corner near the window, and the teacher entered the room and asked me to take a seat.
"Okay everyone let's starts our lesson"
I've dreamed of a normal life as a student for so long that it's difficult to believe it's finally happening. I'm excited to discover what this journey has in store for me.
