"What brings you this early in the morning detective Ash?"

One of my subordinates asked me, while handing me a cup of black coffee which I usually drink.

"Just checking the situation here if I could get something new. Did somehow ~ah never mind ill go look for him."

I took a sip on my coffee while staring at the documents of my subordinate had been caring this whole time.

"Is that so detective Ash, I'm glad that you're here too, earlier someone came and ordered us to check the river–"

I cut his word immediately.

" What?! Who ordered you to check the river?! Who's bossing you all around while I'm not here?!"

I said angrily while looking at him with fearful eyes.

(Who could it be…don't tell me? TSK) I murmur to myself.

" He said that he will be in charge of this new case, he called himself detective Zev. "

" I see so that bastard acting as if he owns my people now ha?! Where is he?!"

Quite a very bold ha! Just let me see how you handle this case then.

" Right now his inside. "

He pointed his finger inside the tunnel.

" Alright , juts stay here I'll go check on him. "

I patted his shoulder to make him calm, and quickly walked inside the tunnel where I saw a tall man wearing a black leather jacket.

(What is he wearing? Is he going to attend some funeral?)

"So you're doing your part now detective Zev?"

I calmly said while he just remained his posture.

" why am I not allowed to help a busy person, detective Astrid?"

A husky voice replied to my words as if I was being sucked up.

" Of course not! Why would I ever not allowed you, it's good to have you here anyway after all you're one of my subordinates now. "

" Heh! Is that so detective Astrid? Then why aren't you pleased to have me here?"

His voice become a little serious, he then turned around and looked at me directly into my eyes.

" How could you say such thing."

He walked towards me and I directly moved backwards.

" I don't know too, you're just being a little irritated earlier. "

He still kept walking towards me, until I lean on the wall which I could not see his face anymore because it's dark.

" Heh! Well since you're so eager to know why I'm not so pleased to have you here, well you're indeed right wanna know why? It's because you're just being too bossy around my people, and I guess I have the right to step up in this matter even if you're part Of our team."

"Is that so?"

He lean his face towards mine, I could feel his breath.

" You know what detective Astrid, You should be at least thank me for helping your job easier. Am I wrong?"

" No, No you're not!"

He didn't move at all, i know that his waiting for my response.

( this goddamn brat! I swear to heaven that soon I'll rip him apart.)

" T-thank you then, now if I may excuse myself."

" Good, then we're Good now?"

" Yeah, sorry for my rudeness. "

"No problem."

He then stepped aside and looked at me.

" I hope well get along too soon detective Ash."
