We left my parents' house and walked in silence through the entire pack, aimlessly, just following my partner's steps, in silence, I didn't want to talk and he seemed to understand and said nothing, I felt a weight in my chest that didn't let me breathe, I had hurt my brother, my twin, my other half and he had never said anything, he had remained silent and had respected my silence, it was obvious that one day he would break down and say it but my selfish side had always hoped that day would never come, I felt like the worst person in the world, I began to doubt the decisions I had made in the past, if it had been the right thing to stay silent and walk away. We were arriving at the entrance of the pack house and outside the children were playing with Jace, Elaine was sitting on the steps of the entrance watching them smiling, she was happy despite everything, I had done what I thought was right for the happiness of my two best friends, but I had never stopped to think that I would not be the only one to pay the price of my silence, I thought I knew what I was doing and where I was going, but now everything feels so unstable, I turned to look at my partner and he was looking at me, as if he could cross all the walls I had created to keep others away from me and reach the depths of my heart and understand how it bleeds, how it suffered for the secrets of a past I would like to erase, looking into his eyes I wondered, how would he react, how would he react if he knew the truth, if he knew what I did, would he doubt my love, my loyalty to those I love, would he see me as someone weak, stupid, I didn't know and at this moment I really didn't want to know.
We kept walking and reached the entrance, Elaine noticed our presence and approached us, her eyes fell on me and she approached quickly and took my hands.
"Are you okay, Azula, what happened?"
"I had a fight with Aron." Her face frowned in confusion, we never fought, we were two halves of a whole, every time I had an idea, Aron completed it, there was never an altercation between us, let alone one that made me feel so shitty.
"Don't worry, Luna."
"Of course I'm worried, Azula, you guys never fight, what could have happened to make you fight?" My face contorted, bringing Aron's face of pain and disappointment to my mind, I let go of her hands and walked away.
"I don't want to talk about it Luna, but thanks for your concern." Looking further behind her there was Jace watching us as the children ran around looking for something, his eyes fell on me with concern and I felt him making his way into my head.
"What happened Azula, are you okay?"
"I don't want to talk about it, Alpha."
"Are you sure, you look so sad Azula, you know I'm always here for you, right?"
"I know, thank you."
I cut off the mind link without caring if it was disrespectful to my alpha, at that moment I didn't want to talk to him, I took Alec's hand and urged him to keep walking.
"I'm going to retire Luna, I'd like to go and lie down for a while with my partner."
"Sure, sure, go ahead."
We walked past them and entered the house, went up the stairs and reached his room, he opened the door and we passed, as soon as he closed the door his arms wrapped around my body and I broke down in tears, I took out all the pain I had been keeping for all these years, I cried and cried until I fell asleep, I was in his arms and I was at peace.

I woke up feeling someone in the link.
"Azula, are you awake"
"Aron... Yes, yes, I'm awake... I..."
"Can we talk, I'm outside the pack house."
"Yes, I'll be right there."
I cut the link and got out of bed, Alec was sound asleep, I put on my shoes and left the room quietly, I went down the stairs and everything was dark, when I was about to go out the door, I saw the kitchen light on, I approached and peeked into the kitchen and there was Elaine, she had a hot cup in her hands and was looking out the window towards the forest, I entered the kitchen and she didn't react she was still there looking towards the forest, as if waiting for someone.
"Luna." Her eyes never left the window, it was as if she didn't hear me, as if I wasn't there, I put my hands on her shoulders. "Elaine."
She reacted and turned to look at me startled. "Azula, god you scared me I didn't hear you come in."
"I noticed, I was talking to you but you didn't answer."
"I'm sorry, I couldn't sleep." She turned back to the forest with a sad look. "Every time I close my eyes I see his face Azula, I feel so much pain, I haven't been able to sleep well since that day, I can't be at peace, I wonder if I did the right thing by not waiting for my partner."
We stood in silence just looking out the window.
"Azula, are you coming?" Damn, I had forgotten about Aron.
"I'm coming, I'm sorry, I was talking to Elaine."
"Ok, I'll wait for you."
I looked at Elaine trapped in her head, I knew it would cost her more and more because she couldn't reject him, he left and didn't let her reject him.
"Elaine, Aron is waiting for me outside."
"Oh, don't worry, go ahead, I'll stay here." I couldn't leave her there, trapped in her head, taking refuge in pain.
"Come with us Elaine, let's take a walk." She looked at me with her eyes shining like a little girl.
"Can I?"
"Yes, come on." I pulled her by the hand and she left the cup on the counter and we left the house, Aron was outside, he had a cigarette on his lips, he turned to look at me and dropped the cigarette.
"Azula." He came up to me and hugged me, I hugged him tight. "I'm sorry princess, I was a fool, I was upset, I had no right to talk to you like that."
"I understand Aron, I hurt you, I hurt your heart and I'm so sorry."
Aron pulled away from my embrace and saw Elaine standing beside me. "Elaine, hello, I didn't know you were coming."
Elaine laughed sheepishly. "Well, Azula invited me, I hope you don't mind."
"How could I mind, silly?" Aron hugged her and she laughed in his arms.
"Well, I think I owe you guys a race to the river, let's go."
They both smiled and we approached the forest, I stood behind a tree and took off my clothes, folded them and tucked them into the grass to put them back on when we came back, I gave way to my transformation and went to them, all in wolf form now, I heard Aron in my head.
"Last one there is a rotten egg."
He ran off and we ran after him, the breeze blowing through my fur, my heart beating in sync with theirs, it felt so good, everything was right.
