"I could never introduce myself, I'm Alec Ashnoth The Alpha King."

"I'm Azula Rosseltod, second beta of the New Moon pack."

"I know" He smiled as he looked at me, and I'm sure I was smiling the same way he was; my eyes didn't want to leave him.

"Well, let's go to the dining room, they must be waiting for us" He seemed to react and said "Yes, let's go" His hand took mine, and thousands of sparks exploded inside me. I held his hand, never wanting to let go.

"You will sit next to me."

"Well... We had already arranged the seats, and your sisters would sit next to you and I next to Aron."

"I don't think my sister wanted to sit away from her partner since she saw him; she hasn't let go of him" He laughed, and I laughed with him. We arrived at the dining room, and everyone was already seated; only the Alpha King's seat at the head of the table and a seat next to him remained, as his sister had indeed taken my seat. We walked over, and he pulled out the chair for me. I sat down and thanked him, and he sat down next to me. They served the food, and as we ate, his eyes never left me. I felt warmth in my heart and wondered if I would have felt this way if Jace hadn't rejected me. I looked at him, and he didn't take his eyes off us. He looked at me, and I felt him making his way into my mind.

"He can't be your partner, Azula."

"Alpha, it's rude to talk through the link when we're eating with the Alpha King."

"I don't care. That man is not your partner."

"This conversation makes no sense, Alpha."

"Jace, it's Jace, damn it. Stop treating me like you don't know me."

"You are my Alpha, and I owe you respect. I will not call you by your name."

"You did it for many years. Why not do it now?"

"I would like to eat in peace, Alpha. Can I?"

He finally got out of my mind, and I was able to continue eating. Alec took my hand under the table and squeezed it. His eyes looked at me worriedly.

"Are you all right, my Queen?"

His words made me smile - Yes, I'm fine - He smiled. We continued with the meal until we finished, and they took away the plates.

"Alpha Jace, I want to thank you for receiving us in your territory and for the food. It was wonderful."

Jace looked at him, and the words came out as if forced from him - It's a pleasure, Alpha King.

"Now I would like a moment alone with my Queen" He stood up and held out his hand to me. I took it, and we left the dining room. We went out the back of the packhouse and sat on a bench. He looked at me, I looked at him, neither of us said anything, just observing each other intensely. He was here, and he was my partner. The Moon Goddess had blessed me with nothing less than the Alpha King.

"So, I'd like to know more about you, Azula."

"Well... I'm 24 years old. I'm a beta by right of succession. I grew up here in the New Moon pack. My wolf is named Luz, and she's anxious to meet you. I'm in charge of training the pack's youngest and also the night patrols. I'm the best warrior in my pack. I love strawberries and chocolate, and that's exactly what you smell like" I looked at him, my cheeks burning, and he hugged me to him. My body tingled next to his. We were silent when he spoke.

"I'm 28 years old. I am the Alpha King by right of succession. I became Alpha King when I was 16 years old, and my parents died. Since then, I have taken care of my sisters and my pack with my life. Recently my wolf started to get too restless looking for his mate, so I decided to travel to the packs looking for my mate. My sisters wanted to come, and I confess that I spoil them a lot, so I let them come along. This is the seventh pack we have visited, and I am so happy to have finally found you. My wolf is called Akon, and he is eager to meet you and your wolf. He went crazy when we smelled your scent on the way to the pack. He told me that before coming to me, his mother, the Moon Goddess, had told him that here in this world, his destined mate, a she-wolf with incredible strength, would be waiting for him, who would bring the world to its knees and drive him mad with love. He's definitely crazy now."

I just laughed - Well, I don't know if that description describes me.

"It does. I could smell you on my way here. Every child in the pack has it. Only a very powerful wolf can imprint its scent over the family scent that every werewolf has."

I looked at him and thought, yes, someday I would have to tell him, but it was definitely not the time.

"Ever since I saw you, I have wanted something, and I can't hold back any longer."

"What do you wish?"

"I want to kiss you. May I?"

My nerves got the best of me. I had never kissed anyone. I didn't know if my mate would like my kisses.

"I've never kissed anyone."

I admitted, waiting for his reaction. He just smiled with a smile of infinite happiness - That makes me immensely happy - His lips were on mine, and the world stopped. My heart stopped beating and came back to life wildly. It was as if I had always lived without oxygen, and he had given it back to me. He had given me back my life. He had brought me from the darkness. His lips tasted like strawberries, the most exquisite flavor in the world. My lips moved inexperienced on his. I never wanted the kiss to end, but we had to breathe sometime, so we pulled away. The red eyes of his wolf looked at me.

Mine, my mate, my moon, my queen.

Luz quickly showed up, claiming what was hers.

"Mine, my partner, my Alpha, my King."
