Dinner

The room that Nix led May into was not at all as spooky and haunting as the rest of the castle. It was gorgeous, it was luxurious. The walls were white and so was the bed, various pieces of artwork hung on the walls, there was one of a beautiful river with boats on it that May liked in particular.

Nix turned and smiled at her surprised face, she chuckled and said

"Wow mortal, the master must like you to give you one of the best rooms in this damned castle"

May turned to her, the growing shock evident on her face

"H-he likes me?"

Nix chuckled yet again and nodded

"He doesn't do deals with just anyone, anyway I'll leave you, your stuff should be here already, see you at dinner mortal"

Nix said this then winked playfully then left the room, leaving May to do whatever she wished. Her stuff was indeed there as Nix had promised it to be and since she could think of nothing else to do May got her sketchbook and stationary and then sat at the breathtaking wooden desk that she assumed costed thousands since it had diamonds encrusted into it.

After drawing for what felt ages a knock arose from the door, startling May a little, she got up and went to the door. Once she opened it there was a smaller older demon with white hair and a mustache, in a comically posh accent he exclaimed

"dinner is ready, human"

May not wanting to upset Lucifer because he was rather intimidating nodded quickly and followed the old demon to the dining room, which was a lot more castly than her room.

There was a fireplace lighting the room, yet it cast shadow over the long table. Lucifer's shadow. There he was, sat at the end of the table hands clasped. His smirk came back to his face as he watched her approach the table, the suit he wore now a little more disheveled than earlier.

"Do sit down, my dear."

His silky echoed around the mostly empty room, it was only her and Lucifer other than a few servants and Nix in the corner, flashing the same friendly silly grin, making may feel a little more comfortable. She sat. Suddenly with a click of his fingers a ton of food appeared on the table and Mays mouth watered.

"Eat as much as you'd like, the leftovers will go to the servants"

May didn't waste anytime, stuffing her face before looking up at him, raising an eyebrow and questioning

"Aren't you going to eat"

Her voice was still shaky, though she was growing more confident.

"Ah, no..."

he replied

"Im not hungry, I'll leave you to your food"

He said standing up and smiling to her before turning and walking to his room, tail following after him.'that was odd' May thought to herself, but was to indulged in her food to care.

Lucifer looked through the pool at the mortal world, watching the man, that man... no, he couldn't anymore...that man disgusted him. With a growl of disapproval of what he had viewed he gently waved his hand over the pool causing the scene to disappear. He lay down on his bed, looking at the ceiling, hoping for sleep's friendly hand to claim him...
