The deal

There she sat, beside the treacherous hospital bed, clutching onto the almost lifeless hand of the man she loved. There were tears forming in her eyes, though May would not cry, she had to stay strong for him. Even if he did die...

She had tried praying, it didn't work and she was beginning to lose that little strand of hope left in her. Then she thought of something. No, it was stupid... But what else could she do?... she cleared her throat and softly whispered...

"Please, Lucifer, I need him to live, I'll do absolutely anything"

And with that the room went dark and a tall good-looking man appeared on the corner, a smirk playing on his red lips. His yellow eyes focused on her, a top his black messy hair two thick horns stood and behind him a spiked tail.

"Anything, you say, my dear?"

His voice was deep and playful, like honey. May, though surprised by the sudden appearance quickly nodded her head.

"Good, if you become my pet and promise to serve me loyally until the end of my days he may live, deal?"

The man offered his hand, the nails on the ends of his fingers being claw-like. May was quick to accept his terms reaching out and shaking his hand, and as she did blue flames ignited around the two hands.

"I promise to be a loyal servant to you, master"

With that his smirk grew and he let go of her hand, the dancing blue flames disappearing, walking over to an enchanting purple portal that had came to being in the room. Stopping just in front of it he looked over his shoulder at May.

"come now, pet... he will awake soon don't you worry, but I never said you'd be here to see it"

He smiled wickedly at her, causing May to let out a gentle sniffle tucking a strand of blonde hair she walked through the portal with no protest. Lucifer's eyes widened slightly as he glanced at the man in the bed, who was now stirring.

"She really would do anything for you, now that's true love"

His look then changed to one of disgust as he looked at the man.

"it's a shame you don't deserve it, you rotten mortal"

He said before turning away and following May through the portal, leaving the miserable world of depressing mortals behind.

Once back through the portal and in the underworld he turned to May, who was looking around in slight panic. He turned to her, the smirk returning to his face.

"Welcome to the underworld pet,you'll be staying here in my castle so I'd get comfortable"

He then pulled a sort of bracelet out of his pocket, a round silver ring shaped one, and handed it to her.

"Put this on, that way everyone will know you're mine, oh, unless you want a collar"

He grinned down at her slyly and May shook her head frantically before sliding the wrist accessory on.

"Good, now Nix will show you to your quarters, good bye for now little pet"

Lucifer turned and walked away, a smaller ,horned individual approaching her with long dyed hair and red eyes in contrast to Lucifer's yellow ones, she figured out that this must be Nix, she looked her up and down and taking her wrist started to pull her down the massive halls, though with an almost friendly smile, making May feel slightly relieved.

"Come on mortal, I'll show you to your room"
