"Who are you and why are you here?"

Qiang Lei stared at the girl. She knew she was one of those people who blatantly criticised her.

'Sigh. Should I just leave? Once my presence is felt, I can no longer hide it again since many people are now focused on me.'

As Qiang Lei started thinking of ways to escape from this seemingly 'difficult problem', Lin Ruo seemed to be losing her poise and patience as the person kept on ignoring her.

"Are you deaf?" She pointed at Qiang Lei. "I am asking you so answer me!" Lin Ruo shouted.

Qiang Lei slightly tilted her head to one side. "Who are you and why are you asking me?"

As if struck by lightning, everyone was stunned. Jaws dropping and the corners of their mouths twitching, they could never believe what they heard.

Angered, Lin Ruo's face reddened. "You... You ignorant fool! You are only a peasant! How dare you talk back to me! I, Lin Ruo of the Lin clan, will make sure that you will never step inside the academy grounds!"

"Oh, do you own this academy? On what basis are you saying that? Do you have the capability or will you be depending on your clan's might to do it? Why do you want to know my name and what I am doing here? What does it matter to you? Lin Ruo felt her blood boiling and almost vomited blood. Someone has thrown cold water on her and she was unable to refute. She gnashed her teeth and clenched her fist.

"How dare you slander me! I will make sure you and your clan will disappear!"

"You..." Filled with hatred and anger, Lin Ruo unshealthed her sword.

"She is just a peasant so killing her is not really a big deal. What a pity though, she seemed interesting with that tongue of hers."

As soon as Lin Ruo unshealthed her sword, people deemed it was the end for the girl. Qiang Lei, too, was startled a little. She narrowed her eyes and stepped back. She knew no one was going to help her so she can only muster her measly strength to dodge the attack, run away, or stall time until the guard returned.

'Right. I am weak. In the face of the strong, I am nothing.' She smiled. 'But hell I am not going to die just like this!'

Qiang Lei slowly backed away as Lin Ruo pointed her sword at her.

"Let us see if you still have the time to talk. I will kill you and you will realise your existence is worthless. No one will care even if you die!"

Lin Ruo stepped forward and rushed towards Qiang Lei.

'So fast.' She thought. The distance between them was only 2 meters.

The tip of Lin Ruo's sword is aimed at her neck. As she watched the sword, it suddenly multiplied and now there were 6 identical swords aimed at her.

'Left or right, above or below. Where to escape.' She thought as she watched the swords arriving. There was no way to escape unscathed. She can only make sure her vital points will not be hit.

Lin Ruo smirked as she knows there was no way this girl can survive. "Die!"

'Left'. Just as she was to go run to her left, she was stopped by the force that appeared beside her. She felt a touch around her waist. She looked at it only to see a hand holding it. She looked up and saw a man, a handsome young man. She was utterly stunned.

Silver hair cascading behind his back smoothly, deep set eyes of blue that seemed to penetrate the soul. The tall nose and red lips made one want to kiss them. Not to mention his fine jawline and poreless skin... He was tall standing around 180 cm. His white robe cannot hide his well built body.

"Waaaahhhh!" The people around screamed in their excitement and this made Qiang Lei woke up from being dazed. She wanted to step forward to gain freedom from the hand holding her waist but the hand tightened its grip more. She glanced at the man and just ignored him then. She scanned around and see the sword broken into pieces scattered on the ground. Lin Ruo was standing absentmindedly with the hilt of her sword in her right hand still pointing at her. Qiang Lei may not see what exactly happened but a few people, including Lin Ruo, saw everything.

The tips of the swords were only an inch away from Qiang Lei when the man appeared beside her, extended his left hand and with the use of his index finger, he touched the tip of one of the swords which seemed to be the original one. Afterwards, the sword trembled lightly, cracks appeared and soon, it broke into pieces.

Everyone was flabbergasted. Now, all eyes were focused on the man. What a turn of events!

"W... Why are you here, Brother Changyue?" Lin Ruo collected all her strength to ask the question. In response to her question, Changyue only looked at the girl he was now holding in his arms and then glanced at Lin Ruo. His eyes were cold that made one break out in a cold sweat.

"A... Ah... It was her fault! I am... I am only trying to teach her a lesson!" Lin Ruo stammered as she reasoned out. Qiang Lei arched her brow after hearing what she said.

Changyue smiled. "By killing her?" Changyue asked in a low voice that seemed to melt one's ears upon hearing it. Qiang Lei scanned the surrounding once more and admiration in the eyes of the spectators could be seen. Sure enough, this man was a sinner for being too handsome in every way.

"N...no... That's not...." Lin Ruo tried refuting once more but before she could do so, the sword she was holding suddenly trembled and turned into dust. She quivered so hard that she had fallen to the ground as strength left her legs and knees.

"I ain't blind nor deaf. I heard everything. Do this again to anyone and..." Changyue did not need to continue. Everyone present knew the consequence.

Soon, the guard appeared. He looked at the bustling activity. He saw Lin Ruo, Qiang Lei, and Changyue at the center and could easily deduced what happened.

He walked towards Changyue and bowed in respect, "greetings, Young Master." Changyue only nodded in response. The guard then looked at Qiang Lei. "Follow me. The headmaster wants to see you."

"Alright." Qiang Lei responded. She then faced Changyue and bowed. "Thank you." She followed the guard and headed to the academy grounds. Changyue only watched her receding back for a while before disappearing from the scene.

All were shocked with what they had just witnessed.

"So... So the girl is really recommended here?"

"Who cares about the girl! Look! That's Shen Chengyue! One of the young masters and the second son of the Academy's Headmaster."

"Ah... No wonder! Being the strongest among the four Young Masters, he oversees the peace of the academy."

"Lin Ruo was lucky this time or else, she would have been expelled."

"Right but Lin Ruo holds her grudges well. She may not be able to do anything to Changyue but she will surely make it difficult for that girl."

"Not our problem. Let's go. The classes will start soon."

The crowd slowly dispersed. Lin Ruo has been supported by her maids and entered the academy grounds as well. Her head was hanging low. Her eyes were filled with malice.

Outside the academy was a big house where three men were sitting around the table enjoying their tea as they watched what had happened. Expressions of surprise and curiosity were visible in their faces. If one will look thoroughly, one could see that they carried similarities with Changyue.

After a while, Changyue appeared in front of them. He sat down, poured himself a tea and drank it.

"She's the one, right?" One of the men asked.

"Hm. I checked her body. There is an aura similar to the ancient cube within her." Changyue replied.

"That's not enough. Did you see a horizontal line on her forehead?" The other man asked.

"No. She is around 12-13 years old. The symbol will become visible once she reached 14."

"Brothers, she looked interesting. The question is if she will be interested in us." The man who seemed to be the youngest asked.

"Are you really asking that? Women are swarming like flies around us. I don't think she is any different." One of the men responded.

"Anyhow, we still have a year to confirm this. The old man isn't going to help us anymore so you better do what needs to be done." Changyue said. He tapped his finger on the table. He looked outside the window. No one knew what he was thinking.
