Isabela arrived home in the early hours, exhausted. Her feet ached, and her back felt like it was carrying the weight of the world. Everyone in the house seemed to be sleeping, but the cramped space and the need to share a single bathroom made any movement difficult without drawing attention.

She went to her bedroom, dropping her backpack on the floor with a sigh of fatigue, grabbing a towel and heading towards the bathroom. Just as she was about to enter, she came face to face with Andre, her stepfather, standing next to the door. He watched her with a predatory gaze.

“Are you tired, Isa?” Andre asked in his voice laden with double meanings, causing Isabela to roll her eyes. She hated when he called her Isa; only people she cared about were allowed to do that. “I can help you relax in the shower... you’ll like it, I assure you I’m better than your ex, and I promise I won’t record what happens between us, so no one will know,” he said with malice.

Isabela felt a shiver of disgust and fear run down her spine. She hated remembering what her ex had done to her. Gustavo had secretly recorded their intimate moments and shared everything with his friends. When Isabela discovered what was happening, she was devastated because she had been in love with Gustavo.

Isabela didn’t respond to her stepfather; she quickly entered the bathroom and locked the door. Outside, she heard Andre’s footsteps approaching and him trying to open the bathroom door.

“You’re still going to be my girl…” Andre said in a voice heavy with threat and desire.

Isabela closed her eyes, taking a deep breath to control the rising panic within her. The sound of his attempts to force the door kept her on high alert. Only when her stepfather stepped away did she manage to relax a little and take a shower. Each drop of warm water felt like it washed away a bit of her fear and revulsion, but the feeling of safety was only temporary.

As the water cascaded over her body, Isabela resolved once again that she needed to get out of that house as quickly as possible. Each day there was a constant challenge, a fight to maintain her dignity and safety. She promised herself that, no matter the cost, she would find a way to escape that hell and build a better life for herself.

A few days passed, and Enzo managed to move Matteo's trip up by two days. Matteo boarded the plane to Brazil, a change of scenery he anticipated with some excitement. After long hours on his private jet, he finally touched down in Brazil. The heat of the day enveloped him like a hug, and he felt something different in the air.

Matteo looked around as he descended the stairs of the plane, the warm breeze brushing against his face. The sun shone brightly in the blue sky, creating a striking contrast with the milder climate he was accustomed to in Italy. There was a feeling of novelty and possibilities in the air, something he had never experienced before.

“The days will be good!” Matteo concluded with a slight smile as he walked towards the airport terminal.

Upon leaving the airport, he was met by a driver who would take him to the mansion where he would be staying. The car was luxurious, reflecting the status Matteo carried with him. During the ride, he watched the landscape pass by the window, admiring the vibrant mix of colors and the unique energy that seemed to pulse at every corner.

Arriving at his destination, Matteo was greeted by his trusted men who had already arrived in the country and prepared everything for his stay. The mansion was spacious and comfortable, located in an upscale neighborhood, with a stunning view of the city.

“Mr. De Vincenzo, we have everything ready for your arrival. Should you need anything, we are at your disposal,” one of the men said, bowing his head in respect.

Matteo nodded, taking in the surroundings.

“I’ll let you know if I need anything. Let’s make this place our base and ensure everything runs smoothly during our stay here,” Matteo spoke with his usual authority.

He walked out to the terrace, where a warm, gentle breeze was blowing softly. He looked toward the horizon, sensing that there was something in the air, a feeling that this journey could bring significant changes to his life.
