Eyes in Shadows

Knight POV.

Knight Stanford couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching him, like he had his own personal paparazzi trailing him wherever he went. It was starting to get downright creepy.

"Hey guys, do you ever get the feeling like someone's staring at you?" Knight asked, his voice tinged with unease as he glanced around at his friends.

His buddies exchanged puzzled looks, eyebrows raised in confusion. "What are you talking about, Knight? We're just chilling, nothing to worry about," one of them replied, taking a sip of his drink.

Knight shook his head, feeling increasingly paranoid. "No, seriously, it's like I'm being followed or something. Every time we're out in public, I can feel eyes on me," he insisted, his tone growing more urgent by the minute.

His friend Alex frowned, squinting into the distance as if trying to spot the culprit. "Hmm, now that you mention it, there does seem to be someone lurking in the shadows over there," he said, pointing discreetly across the room.

Knight's heart skipped a beat as he followed Alex's gaze, his eyes widening in horror as he spotted a figure huddled in the corner, staring at him with unblinking intensity. "Whoa, that's seriously creepy," he muttered, shivering involuntarily.

His friends exchanged concerned glances, murmuring amongst themselves as they debated what to do. "Should we confront them or something?" one of them suggested, his voice low and hesitant.

Knight shook his head vehemently, his stomach churning with dread. "No way, that'll just make things worse. Let's just finish our drinks and get out of here," he said, his voice trembling slightly despite his attempts to sound confident.

But try as they might, they couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, like they were the unwitting stars of their own personal horror movie. Every shadow seemed to hold hidden threats, every noise seemed to echo with sinister intent.

As they made their way to the bar, Knight couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over him, like he was finally escaping the clutches of whatever unseen force had been haunting him. But deep down, he knew that this was only the beginning of a much larger, much stranger mystery.

And as they settled in at the bar, the conversation turned to lighter topics, the tension slowly melting away as they laughed and joked amongst themselves. But no matter how hard they tried to forget, they couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched, like a predator stalking its prey from the shadows.

Despite their attempts to brush off the unsettling encounter, Knight couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered like a dark cloud over their evening. As they laughed and joked, his mind kept drifting back to the mysterious figure lurking in the shadows, their eyes boring into him with an intensity that sent shivers down his spine.

"So, Knight, you gonna tell us what's really going on?" Alex asked, his tone laced with concern as he glanced at his friend from across the table.

Knight sighed, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "I wish I knew, man. It's like I'm being haunted by some kind of ghost or some stalker," he admitted, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

His friends exchanged knowing glances, their expressions sympathetic as they listened to his tale of woe. "Well, whatever it is, you can count on us to have your back," one of them said, clapping Knight on the shoulder in a show of solidarity.

Knight nodded gratefully, feeling a surge of gratitude wash over him. "Thanks, guys. I don't know what I'd do without you," he said, his voice choked with emotion.

As they continued to chat and laugh, Knight couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over him, like he was finally safe from whatever unseen threat had been lurking in the shadows. But deep down, he knew that this was only the calm before the storm, that the worst was yet to come.

And sure enough, as they left the bar and made their way back to their dorms, Knight couldn't shake the feeling that they were being followed, like a pack of wolves being hunted by a lone predator. He quickened his pace, his heart pounding in his chest as he glanced nervously over his shoulder, but try as he might, he couldn't spot anything out of the ordinary.

As they reached their dorms and said their goodbyes, Knight couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over him, like he was finally safe from whatever unseen threat had been lurking in the shadows. But deep down, he knew that this was only the calm before the storm, that the worst was yet to come.

And sure enough, as he climbed into bed and closed his eyes, he couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. It was like he became paranoid.
