“I don’t know, Pop. Just… feeling empty, I guess.”
Pop had his gloves on and stood from the bench. As
he started punching the bag that Beau had just been hitting,
Beau sat down and chugged some water.
“What’s missing, Beau? You have a job, family,
money, and now you have a dog, so the only thing I can
think of that you’re feeling empty about is not being in a
relationship. The Littles making you long for something you
didn’t realize you wanted?”
Wait, what?
Beau stared at his dad in shock. He had always
assumed his dad knew about Beau and his brothers’ kinks,
but they had never openly talked about it with him. Even
though he suspected his dad might have been into the
same lifestyle with Beau’s mom when she had still been
alive. There had been something about their relationship
that had always seemed so special.
“What? You think I don’t know that all of you guys are
Daddies? You’re my sons. I know everything. Besides, those
girls couldn’t hide being Littles even if they tried,” Pop said
with a shrug.
Beau had to smile at that because it was so true.
Even though Addie and Kylie were grown women with careers, they were both Littles to their core.
One of the things Beau had always loved and
appreciated the most about his dad was the fact that they
could talk about absolutely anything, and he never felt
judged. Pop was the kind of dad that most people could only
dream about. Hell, all seven of his brothers were adopted
into the family because his dad wanted to save them from
the shitty lives that had been dealt to them.
“You know, we all think the same thing about you,”
Beau said.
Pop smirked and shrugged. “I might have a Daddy
side. Your mother enjoyed being free of the world's grownup stresses and liked not having to make hard decisions.
She appreciated structure.”
Holy shit.
He needed to have a meeting with his brothers about
Pop confirming their suspicions. They had all noticed how
protective and stern he could be with Claire when she was
around. It made Beau wonder if Claire could be a Little.
Shaking those thoughts from his head, Beau focused
back on his dad.
“Just seeing Knox and Ash so happy and seeing how
much the girls love and adore them, makes me feel like I’m
missing something. When we started doing our work in the
shadows, we had all decided that staying out of
relationships was probably best, but now I don’t know. Both
Addie and Kylie have completely accepted that side of Knox
and Ash and don’t try to change them or stop them from
doing the work.”
Pop grunted. “There’s someone out there for you too.
Just keep your mind open to possibilities. Otherwise, you
have Cinnamon to keep you warm at night.”
Cinnamon’s ears perked up at the mention of her
name.
Beau grimaced. “Thanks for pointing out how pathetic
my life is.”
His dad chuckled. “Anytime, son.”
