Episode Five

(Kim vacates the apartment as soon as he can. because he is traumatized by what happened to him and is afraid to stay in that room or to see him again. He had not yet unpacked, so he took his suitcase with him. He called for a cab to return to his residence.)

The Kim Mansion

Mrs Minnie: Ahh, young master, you are back; are not you supposed to be at your condo?

Gem: Yes, (he was trying to reply to her when his tears started to fall uncontrollably, but he was unable to stop them. He ran up the stairs to his room, sobbing uncontrollably.

Mrs. Minnie: What is wrong, young master? What is the reason behind your heavy tears? (She followed him upstairs to his room, but Kim closed the door and would not let her in.)

Kim: (crying) No, no, no

Mrs. Minnie: "Young Master, please open the door." (no answer)

(She ran back downstairs; some maids were waiting for her to ask about the young master and what happened to him.)

Minda: Mrs. Minnie, what is it?

Linda: Is that the young Master?

Minda: Is it heartbreaking?

Pam: What heartbreak?

Minda: Perhaps he ended things with his partner?

Pam: how come you know he is seeing someone when he only returned from the United States on Friday of last week and has been here for three days?

Linda: Just speculating, I am not sure.

Pena: Mrs. Minnie, please tell us what happened to him; we heard him sobbing as he ran upstairs. Why is he crying? Has something happened?

Linda: Yes, did something bad happen?

Mrs. Minnie: Shut your mouth, gossipers, nothing bad will happen. And how come you heard him cry while in the kitchen? And now you are all here gossiping; do not you have work to do this morning?

Minda: Mrs Minnie, we are not gossiping.

Mrs. Minnie: Since this is not gossip, what do you call what you are doing?

Pam: caring.

Mrs Minnie: caring for my foot. You call this caring. What a name!

Linda: Okay, Mrs. Minnie, you got us, but...

Mrs Minnie: But what? Nothing happens, so just return to the kitchen where I left you guys and stop sticking your neck out where it is not appropriate to do so.

Linda: yes, Mrs Minnie.

Mrs Minnie: What are you still waiting for?

(They all rushed back to the kitchen to avoid being scolded by her again. She pulled out her phone and tried to call Mrs. Kim, but she was not able to get through because she was in the restroom getting ready for her business dinner meeting. Mrs. Minnie went back upstairs and tried knocking on his door, but she got no response. Worried, she went back to the kitchen and tried calling Mrs. Kim again, but she was still not getting through. She met the girls in the kitchen, busy chatting.

Mrs. Minnie: What brings you all here? What are you doing in the kitchen? Are you bored with your job or do you not know what your responsibilities are?

Pam: I have completed my work. Mrs. Minnie, I got up early today to get my work done as soon as possible.

Mrs. Minnie: I hope you do not have any plans to go out today because you finished the laundry so early.

Pam: No, Mrs. Minnie, but I will let you know in advance if I am heading out.

Mrs. Minnie: Why have not you taken any action yet, Miss Pena, Minda, and Linda?

Minda: Mrs. Minnie, I am waiting for you to return.

Mrs. Minnie: for what purpose?

Minda: you did not tell me what to cook this morning

Mrs Minnie: Is this your excuse? Thus, you will not know what to prepare for the food to be cooked if I am not here yet.

Minda: Mrs Minnie. You have always told me not to prepare any ingredients until you give me cooking instructions.

Mrs. Minnie: (sigh) And you two, why is the house still dirty and covered in dust?

Pena: uhh I

Mrs Minnie: I I what. Did your tongue get cut by a cat?

Pena: No, we are leaving now.

Mrs. Minnie: No, stay put for now.

Linda: Ma.

Mrs. Minnie: Why are you still standing there? Are you tired of working?

Linda & Pena: No.

(They rushed out of the kitchen)

Mrs. Minnie: (sigh) Why is not she returning my calls? (she calls her again, no answer)

Back in Gem's room, he went to his bed and cried because he did not know who to talk to or call, so he took out his phone, which kept ringing nonstop, and checked the caller ID it was four on the line so, he picked)

Four: why are not you picking up gems? I have been calling your line and you are not picking up. Are you okay?

Gem: four I I (he sobbed)

Four: Why are you crying, gem? Is something wrong?

Gem: I am fine. I simply needed to rest, so I returned to the mansion (sneezes).

Four: What?! Mansion, do you have a fever, and if so, why are you crying?

Gem: No, I am fine (he tries to stop crying but can't, and four can hear him over the phones).

Four: I am coming there right now (he hangs up on him).

(Gem cleaned his face with his hand and strolled down on his phone he called his father's line no one was picking so he tried calling again. Even though his father was still asleep, the sound of his phone ringing woke him up. He sat up on the bed, grabbed his phone, and noticed that the caller ID was saved with my phone alone. He appeared shocked and picked up the phone right away because he was aware of the time difference between Bangkok and the United States and that it was too early for him to call him at that moment.

Gem: Dad da da dad (he sobs).

Mr. Kim: Hey, son, why are you crying? Have you been bullied by someone? Tell me who dared to make you cry.

Gem: (he keeps crying) Please do not tell Mom that I called. I want to talk to you. Please come back home.

Mr. Kim: Tell me, what is wrong, son. I am so busy right now, let us try to make it next week, okay? Tell me what happened to you.

Gem: I I he forced...(sigh) Dad, do not worry about it (he rubs his face).

Mr Kim: Why is it nothing with the way you are crying, and who are you talking about? Tell me.

Gem: Dad, it is nothing, do not worry. Bye (he hangs up).

Mr. Kim: Oh my goodness, he hung up on me.

(He casually checks his phone and books an early flight back to Bangkok; however, he later cancels the flight after reconsidering his work.)
