Hello Toshiro, it's been a while since we last saw each other.

Toshiro: Haruto!

Haruto had found his brother.

Haruto: How are you after all this time?

Toshiro: So, are you participating in the tournament too?

Haruto: Yes.

Toshiro was happy to find his brother, this day spent away from the orphanage had demoralized him a little.

He then asked for news from all the worlds.

Toshiro: How are the others? And sister Evylln, the priest...

Haruto: Everyone is doing well, to be honest, they haven't stopped talking about you since you left.

However, one question plagued Toshiro's mind.

Toshiro: Tell me, how did you manage to arrive so quickly?

Haruto: It was simple, Jaesselle sent one of her dragons to allow us to arrive on time.

Toshiro: Queen Jaesselle! Really?

Haruto: Yes, I was accompanied by Stella, but she went straight to join the Scythe Queen in her chambers.

This news does not seem to affect him.

Toshiro: But why would Stella go to the Scythe Queen?

Haruto: I don't know any more than you, I guess she will become his disciple.

Toshiro: Really?

Haruto: Jaesselle recommended her to Scythe for her skills in medicinal potions.

Toshiro: It's surprising, a lot has happened since I left.

He liked this reunion a lot, despite their rivalry, they were happy to see each other again.

There were several mages in the arena, several imperceptible spirits lurking around them.

These spirits were not aggressive, but ranked the magic levels of the mages from most powerful to weakest.

Strangely, several spirits were hovering around Haruto, which surprised everyone. A young participant noticed this and said:

Participant: Look at this boy, several spirits are circling around him.

Second participant: Yes, you are right, but how did he attract their attention?

All these remarks reached Haruto's ear, who ignored them. On the other hand, Toshiro didn't seem to be surrounded by spirits, which surprised everyone.

Third participant: Look at the boy next to him, he is not surrounded by spirits.

First participant: Indeed, you are right, he is completely calm; unlike the other who seems to chat with spirits.

Participant: You must surely be dreaming, it's not possible.

He was right, the spirits hovering around Haruto were congratulating him. To them, the presence of these spirits simply meant that Haruto was very powerful; the spirits showed him their respect.

Toshiro: They seem to like you a lot.

Haruto: Yes, I think so too.

Facing this scene, the wise man, from the stands, observed the participants; he immediately recognized young Haruto.

Sage: So it’s him; it is in this boy that the king of the eternal flame rests.

Looking at young Haruto, he can't believe his eyes; a few minutes later, a man comes out of the arena, it was the examiner.

Examiner: Welcome to all candidates, let me introduce myself, I will be your examiner during these tournament events.

Haruto: An examiner, that's interesting.

Toshiro: We're finally going to start.

Examiner: But first, please welcome the company captains.

All the captains were present on the stands, their presence being so unexpected that it surprised everyone.

Participant: The company captains, it’s incredible.

The presence of the captains had caused a commotion, no one expected to see them. Haruto, remaining indifferent, said:

Haruto: And the rulers of the kingdom, won't they come?

A voice answered him.

Toya: You're kidding.

A young man approached them.

Toya: It's already fortunate that the captains took the trouble to come, so you didn't imagine for a moment that the sovereign would be there.

Haruto: Too bad, I would have liked to see Jaesselle before the exams.

Toya: Queen Jaesselle, you're talking about the Dragon Queen.

Haruto: Yes.

Toya: But how dare you call the queen by her first name?

Haruto: Why, is it forbidden?

Toya: Queen Jaesselle is the sovereign of dragons, you owe her respect, you can't afford to call her anything.

Haruto: I always used to call them by their first name.

Toya: You're unconscious.

Toshiro: Don't try to understand, it's been like this since childhood, the complicity he maintains with the sovereigns goes beyond all logic.

Toya couldn't believe his ears, how a simple peasant could talk about sovereigns in this way.

Haruto: Hello, what is your name?

Toya: My name is Toya.

Haruto: Nice to meet you, I'm Haruto and he's Toshiro.

Then the captain of the Luscus company stood up; everyone stared at him and with a snap of his fingers he made badges appear on them.

They were all surprised, his magic impressed the participants.

Haruto: He looks powerful.

Toya: Are you kidding? They are Captain Louis Silvain of the Luscus company; his magic is so incredible that it is said he could take the place of the King of the Eternal Flame.

With a mocking smile, Haruto replied:

Haruto: Impossible, he doesn't have the level.

Toya: And how do you know?

After this display of magic, he transformed the entire arena into a dungeon-like maze.

These performances once again amazed the participants, who dreamed of joining this company.

Shortly after, the examiner in front of them announced to them: As you can see, we are in a maze, this is where your exam will begin.

Your first test will consist of finding a very powerful bewitched sword, while avoiding the traps of this labyrinth.

Haruto exclaimed: I feel like I'm going to have fun!

The examiner wished all the participants good luck before disappearing. The latter then set out in search of the sword, which was the goal of this test aimed at revealing their magical potential. Despite their ignorance of the trials to come, they groped their way forward.

Searching for the sword from below was proving difficult, but Toshiro had the idea to search for it from above. Thanks to a small gust of wind, it rose into the air, thus impressing all the witnesses present.

Haruto noticed that Toshiro, still powerful as ever, had managed to find the sword by going through the maze with impressive skill.

Seeing his opponent getting ahead, Haruto called on his athletic talent to climb the maze as well.

Managing to thwart the traps without resorting to his magic, he ends up joining Toshiro.

Arriving at the end of the maze, all participants had successfully completed the test. The maze had disappeared and each participant had demonstrated their skills, although this test was a formality for Haruto.

Haruto: This test was quite pleasant.

Toshiro: With you, everything is a game.

The company captains were impressed by Toshiro, his magic was enough to impress them.

The time for the second test had arrived, the examiner explained the rules to them.

- The examiner: Very well, let's now move on to the last test, which consists of a fight.

- Haruto: Finally some action.

- The examiner: The first match will pit number 79 against number 115.

- Haruto: It's mine!

- The time for the fight had arrived, Haruto was going to face Toya. The latter was delighted, he was going to face the weakest of the group.

- Toya: *I'm lucky, I ran into the weakest in the arena.*

- Examiner: Ready, fight.

Haruto: Come on Toya, don't hold back, okay.
