The origin of Krigrian

After facing Leviathan, Asha and Quetzacóatl decided to leave its territory.

It was at this time that Asha learned of Gaia's tragic story. Faced with this revelation, she decided to correct the mistakes of her ancestors, but they were attacked by surprise by the Krigrians.

Quetzacóatl: The Krigrians!

Asha: They look menacing.

Quetzacóatl: We must not stay here.

Asha: For once, I agree with you.

Unable to confront them, they decided to flee. After going deeper into the forest, they managed to escape.

Quetzacóatl: I think we are far enough away now. However, Asha seemed concerned.

Quetzacóatl: Lévi will not be happy, we are still on his territory.

She then called Quetzacóatl.

Asha: Quetzacóatl...

Quetzacóatl: Yes?

Asha: These creatures, were they...

Quetzacóatl observed Asha's concern and replied with confidence:

I bet they destroyed your village or maybe they killed someone dear to you, right?

Asha remained silent, understanding that Quetzacóatl's words reflected reality.

I can see the intense fear flash across your face at the mere mention of these creatures, he told her.

Asha then asked: Do these creatures serve demons?

Quetzacóatl: You made a mistake.

Asha: Oh!

Quetzacóatl: These creatures are entirely autonomous.

Asha: But how can such creatures be independent?

Quetzacóatl: Their own creator abandoned them.

Asha: Their creator!

Asha was surprised to hear this.

Quetzacóatl: Yes, I am of course talking about the Black Falcon.

Asha: The Black Hawk!

This name appealed to Asha, noticing her reaction Quetzacóatl asked her.

Quetzacóatl: Do you know him?

Asha: Of course, everyone has heard of the Black Hawk. It is said that he represents absolute evil.

Quetzacóatl: That’s right.

Asha: One thing puzzles me, if the Black Hawk is their creator, they should be subject to him. So why are they independent?

Quetzacóatl: Because even for the Black Hawk, they were uncontrollable.

Asha: Also, how did he manage to create them?

Quetzacóatl: Thanks to the light source.

Asha: What!?

Asha was surprised.

Asha: But that's impossible. Why can such a bright source of light spawn creatures of darkness?

Quetzacóatl: It's because he hasn't always been a source of light. In the past, he was a source of darkness.

Asha: Oh!

Quetzacóatl: At that time, the Black Hawk had seized the source of light and corrupted it into a source of darkness.

Asha could hardly believe it.

Quetzacóatl used this power to create a race of evil servants. Human beings who entered the source of darkness and imbued themselves with it were thus transformed into entities now known as Krigrian.

Asha: So the Krigrian are also human beings?

Quetzacóatl: Only partially. It's time to get back on the road.

They then took to the road again, while Asha asked herself many questions about the Krigrian.

Asha asked: If the Black Hawk was uncontrollable, why wasn't it destroyed?

Quetzacóatl replied: I suppose he was satisfied with the chaos and evil they were wreaking on the planet.

Asha asked: Are they that dangerous?

Quetzacóatl clarified: They are sadistic, violent and destructive killers. Despite a semi-failure, he preferred to leave them free rather than destroy them.

Asha: I still can't understand his logic.

Quetzacóatl: To be completely honest, neither do I.

They reached a part of the forest that was relatively quiet and Quetzacóatl said:

Quetzacóatl: We will spend the night here.

Asha: Are you sure?

Quetzacóatl: They won't be able to attack us here, so we can rest.

Asha: It’s true that I’m exhausted.

They settled down and Quetzacóatl lit a fire to warm them.

In the presence of this fire, Quetzacóatl asked him the following question:

Quetzacóatl: Do you know these creatures?

Asha: Not really; We have always been told that the Krigrian are born hunters and killers who travel in groups of a few individuals and prefer to act at night.

They have always been described as muscular creatures, with gray-green skin, large arms with very long claws and a broad jaw with sharp, sharp triangular teeth.

Quetzacóatl: You seem to have a great knowledge of the creatures that inhabit our world.

Asha: Indeed, I am very interested in our history and I am constantly in search of truth.

Quetzacóatl: Hmm

Asha: My only wish is to live in a world of peace, where all children can live and smile without fear of being killed by demons.

He perceived the sincerity of her voice and in a touching voice, he replied:

Quetzacóatl: I hope so too.

Levi, observing them in the shadows, was challenged by Asha's words.
