Thinking about him....

I take a deep breath and start writing, I have never written anything sad before but let's see what happens. The rain falls down slowly as the sun sets. The streets are quiet and deserted except for one person walking through it. They look up at the sky and remember something that happened so long ago in their life. (Flashback to 2013) She was sitting alone on her couch, she was waiting for someone who promised to come back from a trip he took with his friends after graduation day... He didn't show up, she stayed awake all night hoping he would come home soon or just call her but nothing ever came.... She tried not to think about him too much because it made her feel even more lonely than usual....

The rain starts to get heavier and she remembers the last time he called her, how his voice sounded so happy... He said that this was just a temporary vacation but now it has been 2 years since he went away. She keeps replaying in her head every single conversation they had before he left for that trip.... What if...? Her mind started racing with questions...

The rain is now pouring down heavily and she's shivering but still can't bring herself to turn on the lights. She remembers all the good times they had together, all their laughs... But now it hurts so much because he was supposed to be her future, not just a temporary fling.... Her tears start flowing down her cheeks as she starts missing him more than ever before... She curls up into a ball on the couch and tries to control her tears, but she can't. She misses him so much it hurts like hell... The rain keeps pouring outside as the clock strikes midnight...

It's been 2 years since he left.... She's still lying on the couch, she can barely move because of how much her heart hurts. The rain keeps falling down and hitting against the window panes... She closes her eyes and starts remembering all their happy moments together, it feels like a lifetime ago now.... "I miss you..." She whispers to herself before drifting off into sleep...

She wakes up the next morning feeling exhausted and alone. She gets out of bed and walks to her kitchen, she opens the fridge but doesn't have much appetite. She turns on the TV to try distract herself but nothing can take away this pain inside of her.... "Why did he leave me?" The question echoes in her head as tears start falling down again. The day goes by slowly as she keeps thinking about the past. She can't help but wonder what would have happened if he didn't leave her... Would they still be together? Or maybe things were just meant to end like this....

Maybe that was his true intention all along, to make her suffer for as long as possible so she could realize how much he means to her.* It gets dark outside and a sudden thought hits her brain... Could it be that he never really left?
