Good After a Hard Day

Will Otto’s been working too hard lately. He’s been exhausting himself from dusk to dawn. The others barely even see him come home sometimes. It worried his “friend”, Jax, a lot.

It was almost three in the morning when he came home today. His back ached so bad and his eyes were so heavy. He didn’t even take a bath anymore because of how wore down he was.

He kicked his shoes off, set his glasses on his nightstand, and crawled directly to bed. He joined Jax under the covers, spooning him. This woke Jax. When he realized Will was spooning him like that, he didn’t know what to think anymore. I mean, he didn’t have to do it. They were just friends with benefits after all... weren’t they?

“Jax,” Will whispered into Jax’s back. “I know this is against your ‘personal code’ or whatever, but I’m just really tired right now. And hugging you-“ he inhales-“feels really great after the day I just had.”

This touched Jax. He knew that getting too attached to Will now will have so much consequences in the future. He knew breaking the rules were dangerous as ****, and he’d just be hurting himself all over again. But this was all too good to let go of. He couldn’t deny it now.

“Will,” he whispers. “I-”

Unfotunately, he was cut off by Will’s snores before he could even say anything.

He smiled. The fact that he wasn’t worthless, that Will wanted him for something other than just sex made him happy. So, very happy.

He shut his eyes as a tear rolled down his cheek.

“I love you.”
