Blue closed his eyes hoping that he could finally sleep. Unfortunately, he’d just been closing his eyes for 30 minutes straight not getting any sleep at all. But why?
He hugged his fluffy stuffed cat tighter and inhaled its soft, teal fur. He knew he was way too old to keep something this childish so sentimental. But his cat was all the way back at home and he always had her to sleep with.
He tried nuzzling its fur and rolling around on the bed, but he still couldn’t sleep. He tried staring at the ceiling, at the wall, and at Caleb.
Caleb Otto, his boyfriend, slept soundly beside him. If he wasn’t working, cuddling, or eating, he would be sleeping the whole day. But he always said that he’d be happy to spend some time with Blue. He couldn’t understand him sometimes.
“Caleb,” he whispered.
No reply.
Blue smiled. He liked how quiet his lovely emo edgelord was. Though his face wasn’t very expressive, he could use his words and actions to express how much Blue meant to him. He was like bittersweet chocolate: not too bad, but that’s what makes it great.
He wrapped his arms around Caleb and inhaled the scent of his chest. He smelled of the freshly-baked cookies from work. This only made Blue want to hug him tighter.
“Are you okay?”
He looked up at Caleb’s face. His eyes were squinting down at him and his lips curled up into a little grin.
Blue grinned back at him. “Yeah.”
“Are you having trouble sleeping?”
“Yeah.”
Caleb leaned in closer to Blue and landed a soft kiss on his forehead.
“Don’t worry-” Caleb wrapped his arms around Blue, embracing him with his whole heart-“I’m not going anywhere.”

Author’s Note:
Unfortunately, this was way too short for the likes of MangaToon so I guess Mr. Author will have to write anout something else just so he can exceed the limit and not complain about the standards. You may skip this part if you would like. I’m just going to fill in empty spaces with sand. These may be lies or the complete truth, but never both. Please proceed with caution.
I am Asian, to be honest. I started speaking in English frequently since I was a child. Unfortunately, it was a requirement in the school I went to—which I am still going to until now, for your information. This is kind of why I can not speak my native language as fluent. I would not say the school crippled us students by threatening us to donate *₱*10 everytime we spoke the language of the natives, but rather they... repremanded us; therefore, leading us to be terrible at speaking in the language. Though I will not name the language, I can say that it is way easier than English and I am quite comfortable in speaking it now than when I was in grade school. It’s quite fun being multi-lingual. I know about four-ish languages now.
