"Are you alright?" Mia called out, her voice echoing against the concrete walls.

The man looked up, his eyes meeting hers with a mixture of surprise and resignation. "I'm fine," he muttered, though the tremor in his voice betrayed his words.

Without a second thought, Mia approached him, offering the protection of her umbrella. "Here, take this. You shouldn't be out in this weather."

The man hesitated for a moment before accepting the offer, his fingers brushing against hers as he took hold of the umbrella. "Thank you," he said softly.

As they stood there together beneath the bridge, sheltered from the storm raging above, Mia couldn't shake the feeling that their meeting was more than mere chance. There was an electricity in the air, a connection that defied logic and reason.

"What's your name?" she asked, breaking the silence that had settled between them.

"Alex," he replied, his voice barely audible over the sound of raindrops pattering against the pavement.
