Suddenly, Mel blinks, remembering something.

"" I can't go to your apartment today either. I already have a commitment after work, in fact, can you let me leave a little early?

Dennis, jealous, widens his eyes, offended.

Dennis turns to face her, leaning Mel against the glass window.

"" You still love him, don't you? Dennis's voice trembled, indicating his nervousness.

"" No way! The man I love is you. Please, believe me. I don't feel anything for Carlos. I'm determined to end my relationship with him, but I need to do some cleaning so that when he arrives on Friday, the apartment is clean so I can have a friendly conversation with him.

Mel cups his face in her hands.

Her heart raced with worry that Dennis wouldn't understand.

Dennis remained silent, staring deep into her eyes.

Dennis takes her hand, leading her to the door like a true gentleman before his honored lady.

He opens the door.

Dennis smiles kindly, thinking how short she was.

"" My kitten! He doesn't let her leave without kissing her again.

Suddenly, the sound of voices is heard in the hallway.

Quickly, the couple in love breaks apart.

"" Good afternoon, Mr. Connor. One of the managers next to Steven approaches Dennis.

They were almost caught kissing.

"" Good afternoon, Mr. Mendes. Dennis firmly shakes the man's hand.

"" Excuse me, gentlemen.

Mel excuses herself, stepping out of the office.

She sits at her desk and watches Dennis talking to the manager and Steven at the office door.

Their eyes met and they couldn't help but smile discreetly without anyone noticing.

Dennis invites the man to sit down and the office door is closed.

Mel opened her computer and began to work seriously.

The afternoon went by quickly and with an hour to go before she left, she went to Dennis' office.

She knocks on the door and opens it.

"" I knew it was my little one.

"" My love, I'm leaving now.

Dennis gets up from his comfortable chair.

"" Already? I'll have one of my security guards take you in my car.

"" No need, love. I'll take the bus.

"" Mel, I don't want to hear any disagreement.

Dennis pulls her into the room, closing the door quickly.

And grabbing her, he kisses her lovingly.

"" I'm going to miss you! He gently sniffs Mel's rosy cheeks.

"" I'll call you when I get home, okay?

"" Of course, if you don't, I'll be angry.

They hug each other tightly, feeling the warmth of each other's bodies.

Dennis picks up his cell phone and calls security; thirty seconds later, the call ends.

"" There! Elliot will take you to that man's apartment.

Dennis argues, clearing his throat.

"" Alright. I'll get going then. She looks at him, wanting to say something else, but decides to keep it to herself.

"" What do you want to tell me? He asks, sensing she wanted to say something.

"" Be careful. It saddens me to think of you by her side.

"" Mel, my love, don't worry. I'm going to break up with Amanda today.

He takes her in his arms again.

"" I would never hurt you! You have no idea how much I love you. Dennis squeezes her a little tighter against his body.

"" Okay, my angel. I have to go now.

Mel kisses him, standing on tiptoe. Dennis holds her by the waist, lifting her off the ground.

"" Let's go! I don't have anything else to do here either. This office loses its charm when I don't see you.

Dennis puts his things in his backpack and leaves with Mel.

He drops her off at Carlos' apartment.

When Mel opened the car door to get out, Dennis took her hand. A terrible fear flooded Dennis' heart.

"" Be careful, my love.

Mel looks at him and then her gaze shifts to the driver.

"" Don't worry. Elliot is very trustworthy. We are not doing anything wrong either.

Elliot glances at Dennis quickly through the rearview mirror.

"" Right, love! Thanks for the ride.

"" Are you forgetting something? Dennis won't let her go.

Mel blinks and then frowns.

"" I don't recall. What is it?

Dennis pulls her close and kisses her passionately.

The driver, who was one of the security guards, is speechless but soon lowers his head. He could hear the sound of their mouths touching.

"" Now you can go! He says, giving her one last hug.

"" See you later! She gets out of the car.

"" I'm madly in love with this woman, Elliot! I already miss her.

"" That's how love is, Mr. Connor. When we least expect it, love enters the heart without asking permission.

Elliot discreetly replies to Dennis.

"" That's right, my friend! I love this woman very much.

"" Mr. Connor, where to now?

Elliot asks in a low voice.

"" To my apartment! Dennis replies, and Elliot starts the car and begins driving towards the address.

Mel arrives at the door of Carlos' apartment.

She carefully puts the key in the lock and immediately the door is opened.
