In the dark quarter of a luxurious hotel in New York, a handsome, wealthy, and completely naked man smoked a cigar with a grim expression. His defined, sensual, and muscular body rested calmly in an armchair, his sinister gaze fixated on the beautiful woman sleeping peacefully in the bed.

It was a stormy dawn. The rain had been falling for a long time, and the strong wind howled fiercely against the glass window of the room, creating an eerie noise.

She spat the words at him, very upset.

He soon grew angry and shoved her against the wall.

“—You were the one who seduced me and want to play innocent? And you want to know something? I was drunk too, which is why I let myself be seduced by you… I would never go to bed with a woman like you… Without any appeal…”

They stared at each other, breathing heavily.

Fueled by rage, she slapped him hard across the face.

“—How dare you, you bitch?”

Dennis gazes intensely at Mel's plump, rosy lips, his face still burning from the slap as he swallows hard, wishing to savor them once more.

He steps away, putting on his black jacket.

She picks up her clothes from the floor and heads to the bathroom.

Dennis sits down on the armchair, rubbing his fingers together.

After a moment trying to understand the situation, Dennis signs a check, scribbles a brief note, leaves it on the bed, and then exits the room.

Mel emerges from the bathroom a few minutes later and sees the check and note on the bed.

"This money is payment for our little incident... Enjoy, arrogant lady, and buy the morning-after pill... I don't want kids with a lunatic like you."

She reads the note, biting her lips in rage.

"" What a terrible man. How I hate him... How I despise this miserable jerk... As if I ever wanted to have kids with him...

She crumples the paper and tosses it in the trash, while the check goes into her bag.

"" Does he think I'm what? A prostitute? Ugh, who does he think he is? I'm going to shove this check in his face, insufferable idiot.

The rain had taken a break. The clock showed four in the morning...

Mel leaves the room and takes the elevator.

As she descends to the hotel reception, she finds Dennis talking to someone on his cell phone.

She waits for him to finish the call.

"" Here’s the check, you miserable jerk. And by the way, I never wanted to have kids with an unbearable man like you...

She throws the check at his chest and exits quickly.

Only the two of them were in the reception. The staff member had left just seconds before Mel arrived.

Dennis is momentarily speechless.

He watches her disappear through the revolving doors of the hotel.

The check that Dennis had given Mel was for ten thousand dollars.

Somehow, he was surprised she hadn't accepted it, considering it was almost four times Mel's salary...
