Your Majesty
🌟
Life wasn't the same as I ever imagined after I got to know that my family made a pact with the Rajput family, the King Veer Singh Rajput came to pick between me and my sister for his wife, I looked up from my lap when I heard the large dining room doors open and close with a loud deep bang.
there he stands, Veer Singh Rajput, the Great and strongest King
"Derii ke liye shama chahtein hai Shekhawat ji."
*My apologies for the tardiness Mr. Shekhawat*.
his deep husky voice echoes through the dining room hall, his thick accent making his words sound passive aggressive
He looks down to me,his gaze a cold one. He was wearing a expensive navy blue suit, his tall stature would have been terrifying if it wasn't for his soft gray eyes filled with kindness..but, won't let those deceive me, as I know he could snap me in half if he wanted.
"Baithiye Hukum"
"Please, take a seat Hukum."
My father said, his voice shaking with nervousness
The king nods and moves to take the seat across from me, his eyes still on me though his head now faced forward. My father watches him sit for a few seconds before turning to me.
"Beta, hukum ko apni kala q nhi dikha deti."
"Beta, why don't you show hukum your art ?"*
he said, looking toward me . The art my father was talking about was nothing but me presenting a song for him I have been fond of music since I was a little child my mother liked to sing back then and I used to listen her sing and now I like it . I like to sing and dance ghoomar I enjoyed it a lot.
When I was about to reply, the King spoke before I could get a word out.
"I have to admit, it took me off guard by your beautiful voice but I see your father's nervousness and I can assure you I have no intention of harming him or your family."
he said, his tone is still the same, cold and aggressive but has a hint of warmth to his words now.
"J-ji hukum"
"Y-yes hukum".
Veer Singh Rajput sits there a second before looking back at me.
"I like it, very beautiful, I don't hear music often, but yours has such a natural flow with it, I think you could go far with your melodious voice ."
he smiles at you, there is something off about his kindness though
"Shukriya hukum."
"Thank you hukum".
"Please Mujhe app mere naam se pukare".
"Please, call me by my name."
he said, his voice becoming lighter and less harsh on the last word, he smiled at me and crossed his legs slightly
"How can I ?" I asked
King seems slightly confused at the question
"Just call me Veer."
he seems like he is trying to put me at ease, his smile still seems off, but there is a hint of his true self under all the intimidation his aura gives off.
"Okay Veerji"
Veer nods, seeming more at ease with me calling him by his name now, his gaze seems to relax a bit
"Now, may I ask you a question?"
"yes"
"What is your sister's name?"
He looks directly in my eyes now, his tone is direct and has a sense of importance to him.
"I-its N-neha"
Veer now shows confusion at the name
there is a moment of silence between two, before Veer clears his throat and talks again
"Would you like to know why I chose you instead of your sister?"
"Y-yes"
Veer sighs quietly and looks down at the table for a second, you can tell he has some inner turmoil about his decision.
I saw him take a few breaths before he meets my gaze again
"Well, I'm going to tell you anyways"
Veer takes another breath and straightens himself up from his slight slouch
"Your sister may be beautiful, but she's a little...too wild for my liking, but you in the other hand."
he stops as his eyes meet mine, his gaze seems to pierce into me a bit
"You are calmer, softer spoken. Which is everything I look for in a wife."
he looks away now, and stares out of the massive windows in the dining hall for a bit.
"Hukum she isn't an animal to be wild, my sister is mature while I'm a childish."
I nervously stated while biting my lips
Veer raises his hand up to silence me , his look turning softer now
"Yes, while I understand your sister is mature, I find that your calm and soft spoken nature is very charming. While she may be beautiful, you just have a natural grace and beauty to you that I like. Besides, you may be a bit more childish compared to her... but I like that."
"Veerji I'm younger than her ."
"I know that darling. That's what I like though. You look so small and petite... and very submissive.
Veer smiles at me, his smile shows the smallest hint of a sinister smile
"I like that quality in you."
"We have age difference."
Veerji rolls his eyes.
"Yes I'm aware of that, it's only five years, that is not much of an age gap. Besides, I don't mind it at all, I find it very cute."
Veer smiles, but there is something unsettling about his words...his choice of words just seem wrong.
"But I'm not ready for marriage yet Veerji."I stated nervously
Veer raises one of his eyebrows and stares down at me with his cold but still soft gaze
"And when would you be ready? Do you want to wait a year and a half? Maybe two years? Because, I'm sorry sweetheart, but this is happening."
Veer's smile slowly turns into a cold and intimidating glare, the kindness he had shown me at the start is now slowly fading away
"I mean I'm not ready ." I again protested.
"Well I'm sorry, darling. But I don't think you understand, I gave your father a deal.
He smiles but there is no kindness in his smile now. it's more like a devil in an angel facade showing his darkest side.
"You will become my bride."
"Please don't do this."
"I'm sorry, darling, but your opinion doesn't matter here.
Veer's tone gets slightly more aggressive in his words.
"Your father made a deal with me, and I'm marrying you is the deal. So whether you like it or not, you will marry me."
"Why are you forcing me see I'll call police".
Veer crosses his arms and smirks at me, his tone getting more aggressive and sharp
"Call the police all you want."
he leans back in his chair, his smug smirk only grows at the thought of what I might do next.
"Your family made a deal, now I'm going to claim my promise, one way or another."
"No one can stop me now that I've made my decision, so unless you want me to hurt you or someone you love, you WILL become my bride."
his tone becomes slightly more intimidating, his smug smirk not changing
"Veerji please I don't want this marriage ,And I'm not of your type too."
Veer raises his eyebrow slightly
"I'm not your type. Am I not handsome or rich enough for you, sweetheart?"
his tone had an edge to it now, his gaze becoming more serious than it ever had been now
"See you're not my type , but you're good looking to be honest, it doesn't matter how rich you're . I don't need your money."
I don't know where the confidence came from I just blurted out what I wanted to say.
"Maybe you don't need my money, but your poor little family does. That's how a deal works.
Veer leans forward and looks at me, his expression showing no kindness
"This deal your father made with me is binding. Which means I'm getting what I promised.
And what I agreed to with your father...well that's you, sweetheart."
