"Attention, everyone. We have a new student joining us today. Please introduce yourself," the teacher announced to the class.
"Ummm.....hello, everyone. My name is Kim Woojin and I recently moved here from the United States," said Lee Woojin hesitantly.
However, the class fell silent, and no one responded to his introduction.
"Okay then, Lee, you can sit at any empty desk," the teacher said kindly, noticing the awkward silence.
''Hey, I'm Dae. Nice to meet you. I'm your partner, so let's be friends,'' said Dae, approaching Woojin with a smile.
''Sure,'' Woojin responded with a smile on his face.
''And I know it was quite awkward, but this is what it is, you know, the School of Nobles,'' Dae whispered.
''School of Nobles?! ''
''OMG, you seriously don't know anything and still came here?'' Dae spoke with shock on his face.
''What do you mean?'' Woojin responded, confused.
"Are you kidding me? You don't know anything about this place? This is Korea's most famous high school, bro. Not just anybody can come here. It has the best education and facilities and offers all the subjects and sports you need. Only two types of students attend here: those who are super talented or those who are filthy rich. So, basically everyone's from a wealthy family, which is why it's called the 'School of Nobles'," Dae explained.
"Wow, I had no idea. I just got a scholarship and ended up here," Woojin said.
"You must be a genius, then. Getting a scholarship is no small feat," Dae said, impressed.
"Haha, thanks. I just love reading," Woojin said, smiling.
(Ring! Class starts.)
