chapter 12

"Since you don't know him, why did you drag Brandon along? Let's have a drink together..."

Olivia didn't know whether she should ask this question. She wanted to ask Brandon with her eyes, but found that Brandon's eyes were fixed on Crystal, as if there was some unspeakable story. The sad expression made Olivia take a breath of cool air.

Why did she drag Brandon to drink together? Then why did she confess to Brandon under the influence of wine?

In her previous life, she had fallen in love with him at first sight when he helped her with a spilled drink, so she invited him to have a drink. She didn't know that in her drinking state she was confessing to him. Then they kissed each other but stopped doing anything else and slept on a bed. Crystal smiled bitterly, but this should not be the reason now.

"Probably because,"

She felt that this was a good excuse.

"Probably because Mr. Spencer looks very similar to an old friend of mine, and I missed my old friend, so I thought of it on a whim,"

As soon as she finished speaking, Brandon felt all the hairs on his body stand up.

"Old friend?"

Mr. Spencer's jade-like face had no expression. He raised his eyebrows slightly and softly recited these two words.

He tried to think back and realized he really didn't know the person in front of him. Since he didn't know Crystal, let alone knowing the old friend she mentioned.

But why did he feel a burst of uncontrollable anger when Crystal mentioned these two words in a playful tone?

Brandon tried his best to suppress this strange feeling and spoke reluctantly, "Putting aside drinking, do you know what you just did to me?"

Crystal lowered her eyes, looking polite and humble, "I'm sorry, Mr. Spencer, I drank just now, so I apologize if I offended you in any way."

After saying that, she bowed slightly.

She looked extremely apologetic.

Brandon was stunned. Was he drunk?

There were many things that he had completely forgotten, but he was very clear about what happened before. She looked at him with a very cherished expression, but it had changed to something different now.

That expression frightened Brandon. It was an expression he had never seen before in his life.

Could it be that all this could be overcome by a light breath of wine?

For some reason, Brandon had a severe headache and he refused to continue talking because there were always people begging him to continue talking, but now there were no more.

Olivia is contacting the hospital. Harry is by his side asking for help, and there are many people... But Brandon feels that something is wrong, not enough. These people are obviously his familiar friends, but why does he feel that something is missing?

The room was getting more and more crowded with people. Wherever he went, he was the one admired by all the stars. Amidst the sounds of concern, a silent shadow took a few steps back and left quietly.

Crystal squeezed out of the crowd. She was not eye-catching enough. No one would notice even if she left. However, Brandon noticed that his heart suddenly panicked. He didn't want this person to leave his sight, even if he didn't know who she was yet, even if it was just for a moment.

Brandon covered his fevered face and looked at Crystal's departing figure, "Don't... go..."

After exiting the cramped platform, there was a spacious scene, a banquet. The smell of expensive perfume filled her nostrils, and the ambiguous jazz music had been replaced at some point. The dancers saw her hurrying and couldn't help but look at her curiously.

She stumbled to the bar and asked for a glass of water, drinking it in one breath. After all the energy was spent, she finally found a sense of being alive.

Run,

run quickly!

She didn't want to stay here for a moment of second.

The servant at the door recognized her and raised his hand to stop her, "The banquet is not over yet, why is the second lady leaving?"

"Madam has told me that the second lady and the eldest lady should go back together, you... don't wait, Miss?"

The lady is, of course, Sophia. She is Crystal's mother and the current leader of the Ford family. The eldest lady was talking about Emma. Even if the truth was revealed, Ford's mother still claimed that Emma was her biological daughter, and Crystal was just the second lady brought back from the countryside. Regardless of her identity or bloodline, she is not sure.

Even a servant of the Ford family could tell her what to do.

In her previous life, she didn't bother to deal with these people, but she gave them the chance to tell her what they wanted.

Crystal smiled, and her usually gentle face suddenly became sharp.

"What do I do? Do I need to report everything to you?"

"Prepare the car; I want to go home immediately!"

Several servants were frightened and agreed repeatedly.

Crystal returned to the Ford family home at the age of twelve. Nine years have passed since her rebirth. Her nine years of life did not leave any traces in the Ford family, except for a few clothes and a set of daily necessities.

She pushed open the heavy wooden door of Ford's house, and the moonlight shone down on the floor. The living room on the first floor was dark. Her mother and sister had probably gone to bed by this time.

Crystal didn't turn on the light, so she returned to her room in the dark. She didn't want others to know her plan. Every minute after her rebirth was precious. She didn't want to waste it on meaningless arguments. It was best for her to leave quietly without disturbing anyone. "What are you doing in the middle of the night?" Unfortunately, the sound of the suitcase still attracted Sophia's attention. Four years ago, Sophia was still very young.
