Chapter 3-The cave of crying souls

It was a day like any other chopping wood in the forest to help my friend Jon. We were going to have a rosted boar for dinner with his family. On my way further in the forest I heared a cry it was like some creature was being skined alive. Then another cry like a group of children were crying. I know about this place so I knew it was a bad idea to follow it but I still did. As I went in the direction of the crys they became louder and louder. I saw a cave and it seemed as the crying noises were coming from that cave. I flashed my phone's touch in the direction of the cave but there was no one inside it. I wanted to investigate more about it but it was getting late and the sun was going down so I headed back to Jon's house.

After the dinner we went out for a drink. I was staying over for the night. I asked him about that plant and the noises which were coming from it. In place of answering me he asked back "Did that plant have a gaint purple flower on it? Had that flower bloomed?". I answered with a " Yes, but the flower had not bloomed yet. Do you know of it?". Jon remained silent so I asked again about the planet to which he answer "Yes, the planet you found is called The Crying Soul Bloom it is very dangerous. The planet when bloomed produces spores which can attach you nervous system to make you a living puppet to the young ones of the planet. I makes the host go to a safe location where the new generation of the planet can grow. The spores can remain active for about 3 day before they will wither away. It has a very fast reproductive system and can produce spores continuously for 1 whole day before withering away. I can also produce a crying sound to attack pray as it has a working nervous system in it which is similar to humans after it consumed human remain according to the records left by my father." I just could not believe I encountered such a dangerous planet if I would have been unlucky I would have been dead. I asked Jon "So what is going to happen to the plant? I know you are a part of the authorities so, you deal with this kind of things". Jon just replied with a " Oh, that just needs to be burned before it blooms that's all".

After that Jon was missing for 3 days but no one seemed worried. When Jon was back I asked him to tell me more about the plant to which he replied "Oh, it's taken care of. Just needed to check that there were no more of those plants in the area so took me 3 days. Alberto would you like to apply to be a part of the authorities, I think we can be a great team". I was a bit confused from the sudden offer. After a few days of thinking I joined the authorities and was allowed the access to confidential information about those creatures, Dread Falls and more.
