Shadows of Betrayal: Lizzie's Escape

In a dimly lit room, Benjamin and Lizzie were trying to stay unnoticed when suddenly a noise disrupted their attempt at staying hidden. Lizzie whispered fearfully, "What was that?" Benjamin whispered back, "I don't know, but it doesn't sound good," as he scanned the room for any signs of danger. Lizzie confessed, "I'm scared," while trembling with anxiety. Benjamin assured her, "Don't worry, I'm here for you," as he wrapped his arms around her protectively. Lizzie whispered, "Thank you," barely audible. Benjamin whispered urgently, "But we need to get out of here as fast as we can."

Suddenly, a voice shouted with panic, "He found us! He's here! Hide if your life is dear to you." The sound of approaching footsteps grew louder and more frantic, instilling a sense of terror in everyone in the room. Mister Davis noticed their distress and asked Lizzie if everything was alright. She took a deep breath, attempting to steady herself before responding, "This can't be happening right now."

Mister Davis spoke softly, "What's going on? Can you tell us what's happening, please?" Lizzie hesitated for a moment before starting to speak. However, before she could finish, someone yelled, "He's coming this way! Hide if you want to live!"

Feeling frustrated, Lizzie let out a sigh and pleaded, "Please, can we all just be quiet and let me finish my story?" "Of course, dear." Mister Davis replied, nodding in agreement and gazing at her with empathy.

Lizzie continued her story but as she finished, she froze, her eyes fixed on something behind Benjamin. "Lizzie, what's wrong?" Benjamin asked his gaze following hers. "He's behind you." She said in fear. Benjamin asked, "Who are you talking about?" "She is talking about me," a deep and menacing voice boomed from behind Benjamin. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jackson."

Mister Davis narrowed his eyes with suspicion and asked Jackson, "Are you the reason why everyone here is going insane?" "Wait, Liz, are you okay?" Jackson asked, his concern evident in his voice. She looked at him before collapsing, unconscious, to the ground.

As she woke up again, she found herself in the hospital. "Ah, my head." "Liz, you're alright." "Who are you again?" "Oh, it's me, Jackson." "Where are the rest of my friends?" "The rest, they are..." "Please tell me, Jackson." "Alright then but note this will not be easy to handle for you." "Alright, no need to worry. I can handle it." "As you fainted, Benjamin got you on his shoulder and we started to run. We were halfway when something or someone blocked the way. It was Emma. The look on her face meant something bad was going to happen. Benjamin asked me to take you to the first hospital I could find. He could handle it. After that, I haven't seen him." "So you have no idea how they are now." "No, but Benjamin asked me to give you this." Lizzie got the note. "Oh, this was his plan to escape alright." As her heart was pounding with fear she looked at Jackson. "Where is Mister Davis," she whispered to Jackson, barely above a whisper. She looked around to see if there were any signs of him. "I'm sorry Lizzie he didn't make it," Jackson said with a sad voice. Lizzie's eyes widened in shock as she struggled to progress the news. Her mind raced as she tried to make sense of it all. How could the man who had just saved her life be gone so suddenly?

What do you mean?" she asked, her voice trembling with disbelief and grief. Jackson took a deep breath before answering, "He sacrificed himself so I could get you out of there safely." Lizzie was struck speechless for a few moments before asking, "So he... he's gone?" Her voice sounded fragile and small. Jackson nodded, his eyes filled with sorrow. He knew how difficult it was for Lizzie to hear this news, but he knew he had to tell her the truth.

"But he wanted me to give you this," Jackson continued, holding out an exquisite necklace. The pendant was made of shimmering gold and sparkled in the light. Lizzie's eyes widened as she took it from him. It was so beautiful, yet it felt heavy in her hand. She couldn't believe that this piece of jewelry was the last thing she would ever receive from Mister Davis. A tear slid down her cheek as she looked up at Jackson, her eyes full of gratitude and sadness.

As she fastened the necklace around her neck, she felt the weight of it resting against her chest. It was more than just a piece of jewelry; it was a symbol of Mister Davis's bravery and selflessness. She couldn't help but feel grateful and heartbroken at the same time. When she looked back at Jackson, she noticed something was off. He seemed different somehow like he was carrying a heavy burden. "Are you okay, Jackson?" she asked, concern etched on her face. "I can't bear to see you like this. It hurts me inside; this is so wrong." "Lizzie, you better," Benjamin said.

Lizzie's eyes widened in surprise and hope as she realized Benjamin was still alive. "Benjamin, you're alive!" she exclaimed. "I would never leave you like this, but I wasn't alone," he replied. "My father helped me escape. I made it out, but he didn't." "I am so sorry for you," Lizzie replied. "Don't worry it's alright." "My friends I want to make an announcement." "What is it tell us pls," Benjamin asked. "I am leaving you to see what I can do to get the peace back. But untell then I wish you a good time." "I will miss you, but goodbye for now," Lizzie said. With that, he left them alone. "So what are we going to do now," she asked. "I guess wait until you get better," he replied. Will she get better? What will happen to them?
