Unable to speak, Kodo's hands trembled as he fumbled for his notebook, his mind racing with uncertainty. Ayumi's voice pierced the din, a beacon of clarity amidst the confusion. "Kodo!" she shouted, her tone filled with urgency and determination. "He can't speak!"

The officer's demeanor softened slightly at Ayumi's intervention, his gaze flickering with understanding as he turned his attention to her. "I see," he said, his voice taking on a more sympathetic tone. "Thank you for letting me know."
