Chapter Five: The She I Pick : An Invite

Wednesdays are always boring in the company, schedules are supper free and nothing is done except for the novel writers and comic producers in the company. Even worse, Jin Jianyu isn't at the company to bug Xin Yan who has to be at the company since she isn't accompanying him to anywhere. Quit unfortunately, Miss nosy ass Valerie Chang comes to the company purposefully for Xin Yan because she knows Jin Jianyu won't be in the company.

"Hi cousin, come to see your hubby? Sorry he isn't around."

"Oh no cousin, I've come to see you. I don't know what's going on, but I don't trust you at all. My spy said for an assistant you never leave this office, you handle anything here"

Xin Yan looks at her for a while and smiles

"Cousin, I know you're not smart,, but I never knew ou were dumb. This Job was supposed to be yours. As he's assistant, you wouldn't have been doing anything..."

"Exactly! I'm his fiancée so me being here with him the whole time won't bug anyone but you... I wonder what you could be doing in office the whole time."

"Well I'm Sorry Valerie, but This conversation is going too far. My services are specific, and I render them here in this office, his office is my office."

Valerie raises her hand to hit Xin Yan, but she catches her hand in the air and hit her

*smack!*

"Oh you made the wrong attempt cousin! None of you have the right to lay a finger on me"

*scared*

"Let go of my hand please, I'm Sorry I... I won't..."

Xin Yan tosses her hand and looks her right in the eyes to instill fear in her

"Liu Xin Yan, you don't know who you're messing with!"

"who am I messing with? The daughter of a man who made out with his daughter's nanny? Well that's one dirty man. I don't want to mess with him but if you're looking for dirty, I've got a lot of dirty to spare"

Weirdly Jin Jianyu comes back early and rushes upstairs. Before he gets there, Valerie smacks herself a couple of times and gets bruises. Jin Jianyu rushes in and finds Valerie sitting on the floor with some bruises and Xin Yan with folded arms. Jin Jianyu ignores Valerie and attends to Xin Yan

"Does your hand hurt?"

"Why would it? I haven't done anything for hours"

"so (turns to Valerie) drop the act"

Instead of dropping the act, Valerie takes it to the next level by faking to cry

*sobbing*

"Baby, why are you taking care of her instead of me? Aren't I your girlfriend?"

"You are?"

"What do you mean (mimics) You are? What happened to you?"

"Happened to me? While you're thinking you're an all star girlfriend of Jin Jianyu all I think of you is that you dared cheat on me with a peasant, so I supposed I could do better"

"No you would not, you can't choose..."

Jin Jianyu kisses Xin Yan in front of Valerie Chang and calls the security to send her out officially breaking up with her.

"Liu Xin Yan, I'll get you, wait for..."

Xin Yan gives her not just the devil eyes but the badass look. With just the two of them in the office, Jin Jianyu takes hold of Xin Yan

"Wow Mr. Jin Jianyu you're quite an actor. She really believed what you said" *I want to believe it too*

Swoops out of Jin Jianyu's arms and gets some files and folders she had arranged on the table

"Xin Yan, I believe I..."

"Here are some problems our website is facing, we lack some resources to fix them, so we plan to partner with XXC Techs, so they can help us, but you need to sign this first."

Jin Jianyu bites on her neck leaving a mark there before he leaves again without saying a word because Xin Yan just keeps talking. Xin Yan gets a notification of live news by Valerie Chang, she watches it

"...she is a fox and a wolf and because of her, my wedding is cancelled. My money and Company is gone..."

*Oh Valerie Chang, what kind of idiot tries to sabotage someone by sabotaging their self?*

"I believe I'm now very famous thanks to Valerie and Jianyu. Ever since I met those two they've never given me peace even as an insult"

*Thirty Minutes later*

*ring ring* Xin Yan gets a call from a strange number, she's reluctant to pick it but since the caller doesn't stop, she finally picks up

"Hello?"

"Oh my God Xin Yan my angel, I thought you would never pick up..."

"Papa? Eh, you have my number?"

"Of course do and..."

"so you know I'm still alive, huh?"

"Honey what does that mean? Aren't I your papa? How is my baby doing?"

" ...firstly I'm not your baby, go to Ran or Wei, they ate your babies, your beloved daughters, and I am the unworthy and rejected one"

"What? How can you say a thing like that? Nobody rejected you or anything, must have misunderstood us..."

"Why do you call me now? After so many years you decided to call even though you know the reason why I left, why?"

"Honey, you're overthinking it, papa just wants to see you tomorrow that's all. Are you still scared of your aunties? Don't worry, everyone even your sisters want to see you."

"Fine, I fall for it. What's the purpose of this meeting exactly?"

"A family meeting"

"Get out of my phone, I'll come home tomorrow!"

call ended. *I have alot of rage right now just waiting for one of you. So you all better be careful with me tomorrow.*
