Chapter Four: Secret Feelings

Valerie has Xin Yan escort her outside while Jin Jianyu who doesn't want to miss the drama looks out through the window. Xin Yan prepares her words before they get outside and when they did

"Liu Xin Yan my baby cousin, you know Jin Jianyu is my fiancée (shows ring) see me ring?"

"(Sarcasm) Oh! wow, how gorgeous, meh"

*Is she mocking me?*

"Anyways, I know you're from a family of foxes so here's a little warning..."

Xin Yan exits leaving Valerie hanging

*I don't even know why I followed youout here, I'm really getting dump this days because you Valerie*

Valerie's feels embarrassed and pissed but she doesn't react because she sees Jin Jianyu staring down

*I'llget you XinYan, another day* she enters her car and leaves. Jin who had watched from up is amazed

"Blue ticks huh? Devil eye, you've really got strategies haven't you?"

Xin Yan is absolutely pissed at Valerie Chang calling her a fox. One thing about her is that she likes doing her job but this particular job is a trap she can't escape locked in the same room with a handsome Demon.

*Enters the office*

She sees Jin Jianyu staring out the window. he seems to be lost n thoughts so she interfers his thoughts

"Hey creepy boss!"

Jin Jianyu hastily turns head and stares at Xin Yan fiercely

*crap, did I upset him by saying that?*

"You've got the nerves to upset my girlfriend like that?"

"Heh?"

Xin Yan feels confused at this kind of man loves his girlfriend for one minute and the next he yells at her, she puts on some courage and confronts him

"Mr. Jin who wouldn't? You treat her like Joker treats Harley, so I can't tell whether to treat her like my spoiled cousin or like my boss's girlfriend"

Turns to Xin Yan

"is that so?"

Xin Yan approaches Jin Jianyu for the conversation,, but he seems reluctant to talk about his love for Valerie. He puts his interests solely on kissing Xin Yan

*mmmh*

She pushes him away again completely mad at him for taking her first a d second kiss without her permission, and he even does it as if they're a couple or something

"Mr. Jin Jianyu will you lay off of my lips? Haven't you had your fill stealing my first kiss earlier?"

"This one tasted different, like when they say butterflies in your stomach, let me kiss you again."

*steps back*

*(exhausted)I can't believehe's actually thinking of going for a third*

"(stays strong) You maybe my boss, but you're not gonna get an inch close to me!"

She and Jin Jianyu start playing cat and dog and eventually, Jin Jianyu wins with the both of them on the floor

*Panting*

"Don't you have guilt? How can you cheat on Valerie with me?"

*Jin gets up*

"Well, now that you said it, it makes sense. it won't be cheating if I'm no longer with her right?"

Well, I also makes sense too to Xin Yan that Jin Jianyu doesn't love Valerie but for what reason we're they together, it is still unknown. No matter, her job is an assistant and she can be sued for not performing her job. at this rate she's willing to help him with her advantage of dealing with Valerie Chang

"What do you want to do?"

*squats*

"I like how you like to play naive, I don't want to marry Valerie, but I can't end it with her without a replacement"

"Allow me to assist you find a replacement, I'll make sure to pick the best."

Jin stands and helps Xin Yan up

"Okay then devil eye, a week is all you're given"

To be honest, this is the happiest thing she's ever done apart from exposing people's dirty secrets at the press.

*Home*

*Night*

Xin Yan mumbles Jin Jianyu's name in her sleep for about a minute and then she wakes up panting like she's been chased. She touches her lips and looks around the room

*why...how is something like that even possible? It felt like he was here*

Xin Yan dreamt of the kiss between herself and Jin Jianyu and it felt like she was feeling it in real life.

*A week later*

Xin Yan got a girl for Jin Jianyu and she thinks the girl would be a perfect match for the Demon Lord she calls a boss

"Her name is Marilyn Lu, she's 28. She studied in LA and is a house wife material."

"skip the first parts, you said she's a house wife material, not a wife material? You know there's a difference right?"
