Chapter 5

As the conversation with his mother came to an end his worries subsidized a little, a sense of relief washed over him ,With a simple " good night ".he retreated to his room.

He went inside his room and changed his clothes in comfortable ones and ended up in bed, what he went through entire day made him exhausted, surprisingly he easily drifted of to his sleep. Even though he didn't expect, but he slept rather deeply, perhaps his mother's words reassured him.

The next morning he got up early, as soon he woke he went towards the sink and washed his face off, his reflection starred back at him from the mirror, a silent observer of his thoughts after a moment of contemplation he readied himself for his morning run, he closed the door and went for his jog, An hour passed in the crisp of morning air.

When he returned he saw his parents engrossed in conversation , Curiosity piqued he walked towards them and interepted their conversation by saying ,"Mama, what happened? Is there something important going on?".His eyes sparkeled with interest as he awaited there response.

His mother turned to him with a smile motioning him to join them at the table," Yeah, come sit and have your breakfast first,I will explain it to you".

Edoardo came near chair and sat on it as he started eating breakfast, inquired further," What is the occasion Mama?".

With a knowing look his mother began," Caesar's family is having a party for Mr Romano's 70th birthday, so they have invited us, and you have to come with us too, He specially asked for you as he wants to meet you".

Edoardo got surprised as this was the first time he got invited," But mama they never asked us before, then why so suddenly?."

His mother chuckled softly ," Well, Edo you are going to get married to their family and soon you will become part of their family so how can they not invite us?".

His father interjected in playful tone,"Edo, are you feeling nervous right now? This is just a meeting, you are still our son even though the marriage is on the horizon".

Edoardo blushed slightly ," Dad are you teasing me? It's not right ". He couldn't help but asked," Will he be there too?"

His father grinned mischievously," Oh,Are you that eager to meet him?".

"Dad please". Edoardo pleaded his cheeks flushing even more.

His father relented" Alright I won't tease you anymore," though a twinkle remained in his eyes, "And I don't know whether he will be there or not as it is not a private party, so maybe he can be there or not, but I can tell you one this he is definitely very handsome fellow".

Edoardo's embarrassment only deepened as his parents laughed and teased him. He hastily finished his breakfast and excused himself from the table eager to escape there good-natured ribbing.

As he retreated to his room he couldn't shake off the flutter of excitement in his chest.Even though his mind was filled with the past night mysterious man who showed interest in him but after hearing about Caesar from his parents he started to have a little bit

Hope, and meeting with Caesar's family was a significant step one that brought the reality of his impending marriage in sharp focus.Yet amid the amid the nerves there was a flicker of anticipation. What would they be like? And would he finally get to meet the enigmatic figure who had captured his thoughts more times than he cared to admit?

With these questions swirling in his mind Edoardo began to prepare for the day ahead, the promise of the party adding a newfound energy to his steps. Little did he know, this gathering would mark the beginning of a journey he never could have imagined.
