A new beginning

Sara: excited... Really?! How could I go back then??

Black reaper: Yes...But there is a condition you must fullfill in order to go back in time...

Sara: What is it?

Black reaper: You cannot inform anyone about your second chance nor can you tell anyone about the future... otherwise your lifeline will be severed....

Sara: Alright... But am I allowed to change a few things in the past?

Black reaper: Yes you can. And you could also travel back in time three times in your lifetime...that means from the moment you set foot on earth to the moment of death...anytime between these two dates you can travel....

Sara: I understood...Thank you for giving me this second chance...

I was excited at this second chance at life because now I can avoid making any life decisions I regretted making and I can change the course of time for the better....

When I closed my eyes and opened them, I woke up in my bed....

(Alarm ringing...)

Sara: eyes opening slowly... Where am I?

Ah.. Now I remember the reaper told me that I went back in time now...that makes sense...what day is it today?

(Sees the calender on the wall)

Sara: hmm... let's see... It's 21 April 2012...

So I went twelve years back in time so I'm probably 13 years old... And this my old bedroom in middle school...

(Door opens gently)

Mom: Sara... It's time to wake up honey...Oh you're already up...come and grab some breakfast downstairs after you're done getting ready for school..

(Smiles and closes the door)

Sara: Okay mom...sigh... Alright then I guess I'm back to middle school again...wait...excited...I'm back to middle school again?! That means Chris is still there...and Mylie!...

As soon as I had realised that I could meet the people I missed for so long, I got up from bed and quickly took a shower... It had been such a long time since the last time I wanted to start my day so eagerly...

(Runs down stairs to the dining table...)

Sara: Mom! Where is Mylie? And what's for today's breakfast?!

Mom: Oh!.. good morning Sara... Mylie just woke up and went to take a shower...And today's breakfast is banana and chocolate chip pancakes! Your favourite...

In that moment I couldn't help but cry... It had been so long since someone cared about me... after all even in the face of death I died alone and with no one to care for me...

Mom: God Sara! Why are you crying sweetheart? Is everything alright?...

Sara: Yeah..sniffles... everything's fine. It's just that I love banana and chocolate chip pancakes...

Mom: Aww... Don't cry for that honey... I'll make them everyday if you want...

Sara: chuckles....No mom...If you made them everyday, I'd lose intrest in them...

Mom: if you say so...

(Distinct laughing...Mylie sneaks onto Sara quietly...)

Mylie: Surprise! Did I scare you?

Sara: Oh my...Mylie!

(Hugs Mylie and holds her tightly on the shoulders)

Sara: Mylie I missed you!

Mylie: hmm... Now would you look at that... Just 8 hours ago before bedtime she scolded me for breaking her new record player...even though I apologized and promised to do the dishes for a month!

Sara: haha.... awkward... I'm sorry...I was just not in the right mind yesterday and got frustrated and ended up venting it on you...

Mylie: utterly shocked....is this the same Sara Yu that scolded me yesterday?!...'the' Sara Yu apologizing?....Now that's a first...

Sara: Hey...people can change sometimes...

(Looks at the cloak)

Sara: Crap! I'll be late for school today...

(Grabs her bag and rushes out the door...)
