Taken Not Lifted

A week had passed since Gerant fixed Sergio's chain. Sergio was talking to CAM about his sister and her family when a commotion was heard from inside of the wooden house. "I told you ruffians my son is going to be back with your money soon. So leave me alone and leave my property already." Gran Resa shouts at the group of thugs. "You seem to not remember the debt you took and how much time you had. I'm taking this necklace as payment." A gang of ruffians come busting out the back door to the shabby wooden home. Led by a big bandit with red parted hair the group starts to make their leave when one spots Sergio on the work bench. "We'll be taking this as well, for interest and making us come out here." One scarred thug picks up Sergio and leaves with the group. Gran Resa yells at them in the distance.

*The walk to the bandit hideout is awkward because the guy who is holding Sergio is holding him upside down. The gang finally arrives at the base and the red hair leader greets the two guards at the gate.* "We got the payment from the old lady and something extra for the boss." He gestures for the goon that's holding Sergio to follow him inside. Finally in front of the bandit Leader, Sergio tries not to flinch or say a word. "Look at what we got boss, the ugly old woman had something she couldn't hold on to. This Sapphire necklace and whatever the h•ll that thing is." The red hair leader says. "I'm glad that old hag paid off her debt. What is this strange gift you lay at my feet Demben?" The boss says to the leader Demben. "I'll have my men look it over but it gives off strange magic signals. It's something up to the standard of your level sir." Demben tries to say in the most positive of tones. "I can sense the magic but not the reason why you would give this to me. Be honest with me, you're trying to buy this village from me?" The boss looms over Demben menacingly when he asks his question. "No sir, I just wanted to give you a peace offering after what happened at the bay front. My men won't act without an order from now on. So keep this as an apology sir." Demben says in a cowardly tone. " I don't want your trash Demben, I want you to understand your place. You work for me, and your men represent my business. When they act up, you act up. You understand? You petty street urchin." The boss hits Demben across the face. "Yes sir. Boss Zenchen. I will make sure that never happens again." Demben says in a gruff tone. "Was that so hard? Now take this metal monstrosity away from me, I wish to eat soon." Zenchen says in a commanding voice. "I just want you to know that we got this from Gerant's house, and it looks well taken care of." Demben says as he goes to pick up the bike. "Wait! Did you say Gerant?" Zenchen smiles grimly when he asks.
