Sean Xiao turned to Sophia and said.
"Sophia, this is my Uncle, Vincent Xiao, the CEO of the Xiao Group."
"Hello, Uncle Vincent."
Said Sophia nervously.
Hearing those three words, Vincent's face contorted, and his whole body was full of a sense of dread and horror.
Sophia was visibly frightened, and neither Sean nor Andrew Qin dared to say another word.
The tense atmosphere continued for what seemed like forever. Then, Vincent's cold gaze fell on Sophia.
"I'm not your uncle."
After hearing what his uncle had just said, Sean whispered to Sophia.
"Watch what you say. My uncle has no patience for nonsense."
"I see..."
Replied Sophia gingerly.
Vincent's heart filled with burning anger at the sight of Sophia and Sean's whispered conversation, and it seemed it could burst and set everything aflame at any moment. Despite his welling anger, Vincent managed to keep it contained.
"What do you plan on doing about your work?"
Vincent contained.
"What do you plan on doing about your work?"
Vincent glanced at Sean calmly.
Sean looked like a primary schooler who had just been asked by his teacher to write a report. He stood up straight and kept a very sincere attitude. He said honestly.
"I got the role of the main character in Dance of the Phoenix. After the TV series is over, I plan to act in movies. I would postpone acting in TV series since there was no good script for the time being. After all, I can't stay just an idol. I want my fans to know that I'm an idol with real acting skills."
"Okay."
Vincent Xiao nodded in confirmation. He looked neither pleased nor disappointed.
Sean took a deep breath and thought of something to say, but words escaped him. He was a coward in front of his uncle. Vincent glanced over at Sophia casually and asked.
"Haven't you had breakfast yet?"
Rubbing his stomach, Sean replied.
"Not yet. We played games all night yesterday."
"Go to villa No. 1. I'll ask them to prepare breakfast."
Said Vincent as he stood up.
"There's no need for that. I can order take out. Besides, Sophia and Andrew would be with me. I don't think the elders want to see my friends from the entertainment industry."
Sean knew that if he went there now, he would be scolded.
"They went to the old house early this morning. They aren't here at the moment."
Vincent said, stealing another look at Sophia again.
With the way Vincent looked at her, Sophia thought that he was speaking to her.
"Stop ordering take out foods. You don't know who made them and what with. But you do know the chef of No. 1 villa."
Vincent added.
Sean wanted to refuse, but he knew Vincent too well. If he didn't go, he wouldn't be alive long enough to see the sunset.
"Okay, let's get changed before we go."
Sean winked reassuringly at Sophia.
She regained her composure and replied.
"Okay!"
She then quickly made her way to the second floor.
After about five minutes, she came back down with a fresh change of clothes.
Sean and Andrew however, wore the same outfits. The three of them followed Vincent obediently. With heavy hearts they walked in unison, as if to their deaths.
There was still quite some distance between No. 1 villa and No. 7 villa. Since Vincent had driven here, he had to drive back.
Sophia hesitated near the back of the car. She was about to open the rear door when Vincent opened the front passenger door for her.
Without thinking too much, Sean just thought that Vincent was just being a gentleman, asking the lady to sit in front first.
Sophia sat in the passenger seat and fastened her seat belt mechanically. She remained as still as a statue for the whole drive.
The two in the back didn't dare to speak either.
It was only a three-minute drive. But for the three in the back, those three minutes felt like what was three glacially slow centuries.
