Ep - 12. Make A Request

"Dear Sophia, you have no idea at all. Jimmy is the lifeline of the whole family. If he was left out there all alone or if he by chance got lost, my uncle and aunt would probably get heart attacks. They could die from shock."

"You saved three lives today. By protecting Jimmy, you protected both his grandparents. The Xiao clan was saved because of your today. You are now a great friend of the Xiao family. "

Daniel's gratefulness overwhelmed Sophia. She felt as if he was exaggerating the whole situation.

"Come on! Do not inflate it this much. Let's not make such a big deal out of it."

Saying this, Sophia's eyes fell on the glistening plate of crab legs that was next to her. She did not eat anything from the morning.

All the delicious food made her stomach growl. The forever food-lover Sophia just wanted to say,

"No!"

''Why won't you give me a check?" Sophia looked questioningly at Daniel. 

Daniel quickly looked at Vincent and said,

"That is for ordinary people, Sophia! But you, you are not just any other person. We don't think we can thank you just with a simple check."

''No! I would love a check! I am that kind of a person! I am always in need of money. Please give me all the money that you can so that I can sustain till death!''

"Goo..."

Suddenly Sophia's stomach let out a loud growl. Sophia covered her face with her palms to avoid the awkwardness. How embarrassing.

Sophia felt like she needed to bury herself in a hole. That was when Mr. Vincent said,

"Let us eat first."
